The Fantastic Four holds the title of the Frist Family of Marvel since they were the first superheroes introduced in Marvel Comics. They were also a family on top of being a superhero team, but there have been several heroes throughout the years outside of the original four, many of them more powerful than even the founding members.
Of course, raw strength isn’t the only thing to consider when gauging a hero’s power. Anyone can win a fistfight, but it takes a real powerhouse to take down aliens, immortals, and the top supervillains Marvel offers.
10 The Thing
The Thing is easily the strongest member of the Fantastic Four, but that does not necessarily translate to true power. The Thing has superhuman strength and can lift between 75 and 100 tons—he also has rocklike skin, but he is not invulnerable. As comic book fans know, The Thing has seen pieces of his body shattered before.
However, that is his only actual power. There is the chance that he could never die as long as he remains in his rock-form, but that does little to help in a fight. The Thing is strong, but he ranks below most other members of the FF.
9 Wolverine
There was a point where the world believed that the Fantastic Four disappeared after the Skrulls captured them. The New Fantastic Four formed with Wolverine, Spider-Man, Hulk, and Ghost Rider as the members, and they took the original team’s place.
Wolverine has been part of several teams in Marvel Comics, and the alternate version of the Fantastic Four is the one no one talks about. His power levels are tremendous, and he rejuvenates from most injuries instantly. He is a tremendous fighter, and it is his Adamantium claws that give him the edge over The Thing in terms of power.
8 Human Torch
Johnny Storm was the youngest member of the Fantastic Four when they first gained their powers following the rocket flying through the cosmic rays. For the first few years, The Human Torch was just someone who controlled fire.
However, through the years, Johnny’s power has grown, and he is now an extremely powerful Marvel hero. Johnny can go supernova and put out 1 million degrees of fire. Comic book fans even know Human Torch survived on his own in the Negative Zone, proving his power levels.
7 She-Hulk
After the first Secret Wars event, The Thing remained on Battleworld, and She-Hulk replaced him in the lineup. It was a power boost for the team, as She-Hulk is more powerful than The Thing in almost every way.
She is not as powerful as her cousin, The Hulk, because of his anger boosting his power levels to almost limitless levels. However, just like Hulk, she has a strength level higher than The Thing, with the ability to lift over 100 tons. She also has the regenerative powers of Hulk and can’t really die.
6 Reed Richards
Power is not always about superpowers. Reed Richards is one of the most powerful members of the Fantastic Four, and one of the most dangerous people in the Marvel Universe because of his brains. His power is plasticity, though that ranks near the bottom for superpowers.
However, Reed is one of Earth’s smartest men, and he can create inventions and weapons that allow him to defeat anybody. He is also smarter than most alien civilizations and is one of the first people anyone calls when trying to beat superior foes.
5 Storm
Much like Wolverine, Storm is best known for her time with the X-Men. However, there was a time where Storm and Black Panther joined the Fantastic Four. While T’Challa is a powerful warrior, Storm is one of Marvel’s most powerful superheroes.
Storm is close to being an Omega-level mutant with the power to manipulate the weather, and she is one of the most powerful mutants on the planet. On top of her mutant powers, her ancestors also granted her godhood, which Black Panther helped her ascend to while she lived in Wakanda.
4 Ghost Rider
The New Fantastic Four with Wolverine also included a Ghost Rider in the lineup, and that increased their power levels to almost godlike levels. This Ghost Rider was not Johnny Blaze, nor was it future Avenger Robbie Reyes.
This was Daniel Ketch, and, while he has all the powers of Ghost Rider, he is not one of the strongest of the vengeance-hunting demons. With the power of Hellfire and a regenerative healing factor, he was still more powerful than most human heroes in the Fantastic Four.
3 Nova
Frankie Raye was a member of the Fantastic Four with the same powers as Johnny Storm, albeit on a much smaller level. She gained her powers when she ended up doused in chemicals and caught on fire. She also connected to the Android Human Torch, as her step-father was Phineas T. Horton, the creator of the original.
However, she became one of the most powerful heroes in the Fantastic Four when Galactus gave her the cosmic powers, making her his herald. She now has cosmic energy manipulation and cosmic knowledge, making her an incredible threat.
2 The Invisible Woman
The Invisible Girl was the Fantastic Four’s weakest character for a long time when her only power was turning invisible. However, that changed when she learned more about her powers, and she is now the most powerful member of the original four.
As comic book fans know, The Invisible Woman not only turns invisible, but she can create force fields that can protect her from just about anything. Sue can also send air bubbles into an enemy’s brain, taking them out instantly. She destroyed a Celestial with a forcefield and has proven that her force fields are deadly offensive weapons and masterful defensive constructs.
1 Hulk
Hulk is one of the most powerful characters in comic books, be it Marvel or DC. He was a member of the New Fantastic Four and provided the team with its biggest threat. Hulk has unlimited strength, and he’s undoubtedly stronger than She-Hulk and Thing.
His healing ability is even greater than that of Wolverine. He also has rage boosts that allow his strength to reach unparalleled levels. In World War Hulk, he beat Earth’s greatest heroes and only lost when he gave up. There is almost no one who can beat Hulk in a fight.
