With their shows regularly dominating the ratings in their age demographic and Disney Channel movies constantly breaking records it was only a matter of time before Disney Channel merged their comedy shows with their original movies. Since the mid-’90s, Disney has used Disney Channel shows for inspiration for original movies that have released in theaters, on Disney Channel, and even on Disney+.
