10 Naruto Characters Fans Want To See More Of

The first Hokage, Hashirama, and the rest of the Senju clan played an integral role in the Shinobi world’s creation. Yet, fans have only a basic gist of their story and legacy. Many fan theories arose thanks to holes in their clan’s history. For example, viewers know Tsunade was Hashirama’s granddaughter, but they know almost nothing about Hashirama’s children. Plus, fans should know of Hashirama’s mysterious death.

Audiences would love to see an anime following the Hidden Leaf’s creation, and they would jump at the chance to learn more about the Senju clan and early shinobi politics. Above all, they want to see more of Hashirama, the Senju clan leader and First Hokage.

9 The Raikage Had Some Explaining To Do Regarding The Hyuga Incident

10 Naruto Characters Fans Want To See More Of

In Naruto, fans learned that the Hyuga Affair led to Hizashi Hyuga’s execution. The Raikage orchestrated Hinata Hyuga’s kidnap as a way to steal the Byakugan’s secrets. However, this plot failed. In their embarrassment, the Hidden Cloud called for the death of the Hyuga that killed his men, and Hizashi died in his brother’s place.

In Naruto: Shippūden, all the heroes had to work with the Raikage, and the incident was never directly addressed. He was among the strongest members of the Shinobi Alliance, so they had no room to bring it up. Fans want to see more of the Raikage to get closure on the Hyuga Affair, learn more about its intent, and come to terms with whom the Raikage was as a person.

8 Neji Hyuga Deserved More Development After His Fight With Naruto

10 Naruto Characters Fans Want To See More Of

After his fight with Naruto during the Chunin Exams, Neji didn’t do anything substantial. He almost died during the Sasuke Retrieval Arc, and he helped fight the Akatsuki on occasion. Finally, he lost his life saving Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata, supposedly bringing his story full circle.

Yet fans didn’t feel his story was complete. Instead, it felt like he was a tool for the plot. He never got to settle his rivalry with Rock Lee, and he never got to grow into his identity. One of the harsh realities of the Hyuga clan is its strict hierarchy, and Neji never got to reconcile with that. Fans felt this was a disservice to Neji, and they wanted to see him way more.

7 Tailed Beasts 2-7’s Jinchuriki Needed More Background

10 Naruto Characters Fans Want To See More Of

The Tailed Beasts and their jinchuriki suffered quick defeats for being super-powered entities. Most of them were captured and killed off screen. The show made a huge deal of Gaara and Naruto, jinchuriki for the one tail and nine tails, respectively. However, the others went down without much of a fight or backstory.

From Rin Nohara to Yugito Nii, viewers want to see more of the jinchuriki and learn their stories, especially as they’re integral to the shinobi world. Unfortunately, one of the many ways Boruto changed the Tailed Beasts since Naruto was by getting rid of human hosts.

6 Yugao Uzuki’s Plot Fell Off The Map

10 Naruto Characters Fans Want To See More Of

Yugao Uzuki was one of the many characters Naruto introduced but quickly forgot. She was first seen during the Konoha Crush arc when discovering Hayate’s murder. The two had history, and the show positioned her to avenge him.

Despite giving her a monologue and dramatic scene, she disappeared, though she did reappear to fight the reanimated Hayate during the war. Fans wanted to see more of her to learn who she was, what her jutsu was all about, and the context surrounding her relationship with Hayate. It would have made a better filler arc than many of those fans got.

10 Naruto Characters Fans Want To See More Of

Kurenai Yuhi was another abandoned character. She played a somewhat important role as Hinata, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame’s sensei. Yet, after Asuma Sarutobi’s death, she was rarely seen.

Kurenai had much more to give as a shinobi. She was a master of genjutsu, but the show rarely displayed her abilities. Many fans don’t know Kurenai’s genjutsu level was near Itachi’s. When it did show her fighting, it was underwhelming. Fans wanted to see more of Kurenai and what she could do. Unfortunately, the show seemed to give up on her after Asuma died.

10 Naruto Characters Fans Want To See More Of

Orochimaru genetically modified Yamato using Hashirama Senju’s cells, and he turned out to be the only successful experiment. The show used Hashirama’s cells for good and evil, and thankfully Yamato turned out to be good.

Not only did Yamato have insights into Orochimaru’s schemes, but he also had some of Hashirama’s power. There was so much Naruto could and should have done with Yamato but didn’t. Fans wanted to see more of him desperately, but he was only kept around as Kakashi’s alternate.

10 Naruto Characters Fans Want To See More Of

Shisui Uchiha was Itachi’s mentor and friend who played a role in stopping the Uchiha rebellion. Though they were the most likable Uchiha clan members, Shisui and Itachi’s stories were tragic. While fans got a lot of context about Itachi’s tale, they didn’t get much on Shisui.

Shisui was mysterious by design, but after Itachi revealed the true nature of the Uchiha rebellion to Sasuke, it would have made sense to give fans the Shisui content they deserved. They want to see more about Shisui’s Sharingan and his relationship with Itachi.

1 Shino Aburame Was Left Out Of Many Missions

Shino Aburame and his chakra-eating bugs were a formidable force. Shino was so powerful that the show excluded him from many missions and arcs. Fans didn’t get to see much of Shino until Boruto. Unfortunately, his personality changed drastically between the two series, and he felt like a different character.

Fans wanted to see more of the original Naruto version of Shino. His fight against Kankuro, with its engaging twists and turns, proved Shino’s combat prowess and intelligence. Fans needed more of that version of Shino.
