10 NonMarvel Movies Coming To Disney In 2021

Though Disney+ was always intended to be a major player in online streaming services, the past year catapulted it to extreme success much quicker than anyone initially thought it would. Some of what has kept Disney+ at the front of everyone’s entertainment list is the sheer number of television shows and movies in their catalog.

Partly due to existing licensing deals and partly because of marketing genius, Disney constantly adds new products onto their streaming service, from original productions to classics loved by the whole family. Though Disney+ can attribute much of that to their Marvel productions, plenty of people do not follow the MCU.

Here are the top ten non-Marvel movies that are still to come to Disney+ in 2021.

The new movie follows a young Cruella brilliantly portrayed by Emma Stone. Set in the punk rock revolution of 1970s London, the audience is introduced to the young Cruella, then known as Estella who has a seemingly insatiable appetite for making mischief and fashion talent.

Eventually, existing fashion icon and terrifying human Baroness von Hellman (Emma Thompson) notices Estella’s fashion and takes her under her wing. That relationship will turn the fun-loving, mischievous Estella into the terrifyingly cruel Cruella. According to Disney+, Cruella will come off of premier access and be included in the monthly subscription price as of August 27.

1 The Pixar Story

Pixar has become synonymous not only with Disney but also with greatness. In this 2007 documentary, Leslie Iwerks showed how Pixar started in the mid-1980s in the Bay Area. Then, this start-up company was just the trio of Ed Catmull, Steve Jobs, and John Lasseter fought creatively and financially to merge 3-D technology and animation.

When they succeeded and partnered with Disney to release the first full-length Pixar CG film, Toy Story, they not only succeeded in their goal but changed the animation game forever.

Ironically, The Pixar Story is not yet on the streaming service due to pre-existing licensing deals. They are happy to welcome it home on November 19 of this year.
