Instead of recycling the classics this year, Netflix has come through yet again with a variety of Christmas movies and specials. Nothing is better than delving into some holiday cheer when life gets too crazy!

Ranging from heartwarming rom-coms, competitive baking, and family-friendly show specials, every interest is met all season long. They will be available to stream just around the corner, so watch out for them!

Single All The Way (12/2)

In Netflix’s first-ever gay holiday rom-com, best friends Peter (Michael Urie) and Nick (Philemon Chambers) head to Peter’s family home, pretending to be together for the holidays. Come to find out that Peter’s mother has set him up on a blind date with her spinning instructor, James.

However, after reflecting on their friendship, both Peter and Nick realize that there is more to their relationship than they thought. Also starring icon Jennifer Coolidge, Single All The Way gives a new spin on a classic holiday love story.

David And The Elves (12/6)

Those who loved A Boy Called Christmas (also on Netflix), will find themselves wrapped up in the magic between a boy named David (Cyprian Grabowski) and Albert the Elf (Jakub Zając). A classic story of a boy who believes in what Christmas is really about when no one else does.

With these two together many exciting adventures ensure, and along the way, the true spirit of the holiday is embraced. David and the Elves is a great family watch that is sure to make anyone feel like a kid again.

A California Christmas: City Lights (12/16)

Taking place one year after the original A California Christmas, real-life couple Callie and Joseph (played by Lauren and Josh Swickard) head to the big city due to take care of the family business. After several complications are thrown their way, the couple tries to make the most of the holiday to turn things around. A testament to true love and Christmas spirit, A California Christmas: City Lights will make any cynic believe in a happy ending.

Grumpy Christmas (12/22)

Another heartwarming family film that is perfect when looking for an easy watch is Grumpy Christmas. In an effort to relax during the holiday season, Don Servando and his family go on vacation to Mexico to see his daughter-in-law’s family. What he doesn’t expect is to run into her aunt Doña Alicia and have to battle for who can do Christmas best. Chaos ensues and the family has to learn how to bring themselves together and embrace the Christmas spirit.

1,000 Miles From Christmas (12/24)

It is a tale as old as time, but one can never get enough! Christmas-loathing factory auditor Raúl (Tamar Novas) travels to a small town where he meets Paula (Andrea Ros), an ambitious teacher who is looking to build the largest nativity scene ever made.

The two work together to bring out the true meaning of Christmas, and unknowingly fall in love along the way. In a swirl of romance, holiday magic, and comedy, this film is perfect to curl up and watch while waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve.

A Naija Christmas (12/16)

In an effort to appease their mother’s wish, three brothers must find a bride before Christmas. Each son faces his fair share of trials and tribulations in order to find their perfect matches, hoping they meet their mother’s strict deadline.

It is a sweet tribute to a different kind of love that is shared between a mother and her children, showing that they will do anything to make her happy. A Naija Christmas is Netflix’s first-ever Nigerian holiday film and differs from the traditional style of Christmas comedies to add to the holiday movie lineup.

Shaun The Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas (12/3)

Everyone’s favorite stop-motion sheep is here to deliver a fun-loving Christmas special! Shaun’s dear sheep friend Timmy is taken away from the farm, and Shaun embarks on an adventure to get him back home for Christmas. The kid’s classic lends its fun-loving spirit to the holidays this year with hilarious hijinks and quirky characters.
