1000Lb Sisters Why Fans Think Tammys Nurse Tisa Wont Last

Tammy Slaton has struggled to live independently in 1000-lb Sisters, but fans aren’t sure the Slaton family’s latest attempt to support Tammy, A.K.A Tisa, will last. For as long as the sisters can remember, Tammy has relied on the help of her family members like Amy and Chris to be taken care of, but now that Tammy’s siblings have other priorities, Tisa was recently recruited to be the reality star’s nurse. From the challenges that come with caring for Tammy to Amy’s critical take on her caregiving skills, here’s why fans don’t think Nurse Tisa will be around for long.

Tammy’s inability to be an independent woman might be the TV personality’s greatest obstacle. Although she is Amy’s older sister, Tammy has always relied on Amy to take care of her. The pair began developing their codependency when they were children and their mother was always out of the home working several part-time jobs. Tammy and Amy needed one another to get through the day and used unhealthy foods as a way to comfort themselves. In 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy’s demonstrated how little she can do on her own. From taking steps out of the house to making meals for herself, Tammy’s relied on Chris, Amy, and her brother-in-law Michael to manage day-to-day activities.

Although Tammy’s family has always been there for her in 1000-lb Sisters seasons 1 and 2, everything’s about to change in season 3. The biggest difference between the second and third chapters of the Slaton family’s series is the birth of Amy’s son, Gage. Now that Amy and Michael have a baby to raise, they can’t dedicate as much of their days to taking care of Tammy. In a tense conversation, Amy and Chris explained that they have no choice but to find a nurse for Tammy. Although Tammy was vehemently opposed to hiring a caretaker at first, Tammy’s warmed up to Tisa. Despite Tammy confessing that she enjoys spending time with her home health nurse, fans don’t think Tammy’s house is an environment Tisa can last in. One Reddit user explained, “[Tammy] won’t stay on good behavior for long, and everyone has their limits.”

Viewers agree Tammy isn’t the easiest to get along with and even the most experienced nurse would be challenged by the 1000-lb Sisters star’s outbursts. Although her life is endangered the longer she refuses to make a change, Tammy likes things the way they are. One fan speculated, “If [Tisa] gets fired it’s because Tammy finally realizes she can’t manipulate her.” On top of Tammy’s difficult nature, many viewers think Amy has been overly cynical when it comes to Tisa’s job performance. While Tammy’s been pleased with Tisa’s help, one commenter pointed out, “Amy’s the one who seems to have a problem with Tisa, thinking Tisa’s not doing enough.” Viewers think Amy’s expectations are unrealistic and set Tisa up for failure. Frustrated fans wondered why Amy anticipated Tisa would be able to fix all of Tammy’s issues within her first few shifts.

Fans agree Tisa can be instrumental in Tammy’s weight loss progress and allowing Amy to get some space from her dependent older sister. Regrettably, the Slaton siblings’ demanding personalities might result in Tisa hanging up the towel before Tammy’s made any headway. While 1000-lb Sisters’ viewers hope Tisa sticks around for a while, fans think Tammy’s temper or Amy’s expectations will result in Tisa’s premature exit.
