5 Contestant We Want To See Make A Return To The Challenge 36 (And 5 Who Can Stay Home)

MTV’s The Challenge is one of the network’s premier shows, and because of that, it moves very quickly. As such, filming for season 35 is already done. So, before it even airs we naturally have to think of season 36, right? Today, we’ll be looking at five contestants that we’d like to see come back to play, along with five that can do to take a season or two off. As a note, all five that can stay home shouldn’t be removed at once, that would remove a lot of drama. They all could individually take breaks separately. With that out of the way, let’s get into it.

10 Return: Da’Vonne

Da’Vonne should absolutely make a return to The Challenge as soon as possible. The former Big Brother star provides excellent commentary 100% of the time, and became somewhat of an elimination queen on her last season, as she was constantly thrown in with her partner, Bear. She’s proved that she can really compete with the best of ’em.

It doesn’t seem likely that Da’Vonne will be returning anytime soon, however. While she hasn’t completely ruled it out, her main focus right now is on acting. The door is always open, though.

9 Stay Home: Josh

The expectations on this one were low from the start but, oof. This Big Brother winner does not have a good Challenge track record, unless we’re recording screaming, mediocre performances and ALL of the tears. In that case, he’s killing it. Josh doesn’t bring anything interesting to the table. He was horrible in his season of Big Brother too, so this wasn’t much of a surprise to anybody.

8 Return: Fessy

Spoilers are incoming for season 35, so skip to the next entry if you want to go in blind!

Fessy may have been a complete idiot during his season of Big Brother, but the man is a physical beast. He’s such a force that it’s rumored that he was able to take out Jordan in an elimination. WOW. That is not something that happens… ever. That alone is enough to warrant a return for Fessy in the future. Maybe bring Haleigh along in 36?

7 Stay Home: Cara

Cara Cara Cara. You used to be so fun to watch. Nowadays though, you’re just… angry.

Many of us assume that this has to do with her absolutely awful relationship with Paulie (more on that later), but either way, Cara has just become a pain to watch. She’s just… spiteful. All of the time. We’d love Cara to come back, she’s an absolute beast, there’s no denying that. Maybe just, leave your mans at home for 36, if you do come back. Better yet, leave that mans altogether, everyone wins!

6 Return: Turbo

Turbo’s future on the challenge isn’t super clear. His altercation with Jordan during 35 ended up getting him expelled from the season, so whether or not he’ll be able to come back is still up in the air. Hopefully he does, though. Turbo is an absolute joy to watch. He’s caring, funny, and an absolute freight train of a competitor. If he does end up coming back, the other contestants are going to want to look out for him. He can easily make his way to a final and win it.

5 Stay Home: Paulie

Literally don’t come back. Like, don’t. Please.

Paulie is just the worst in about every way imaginable. Paulie is an okay competitor, with the ego of a 35-time winner. He thinks that he is the best competitor in the game by miles, and it simply isn’t the case. He avoids eliminations at all costs (no matter how often he threatens to go in purposefully) and had an absolutely dreadful final performance in 34. He’s also constantly getting in fights with everyone for no reason, and is the main source of the decline of Cara. Paulie just does not need to come back. He *spoiler* won’t be around for 35, so maybe that’s a good sign.

4 Return: CT

Some may say that CT’s time in the spotlight of The Challenge should be just about up, but season 34 proved that he’s still got it, dad bod and all. CT is going to be around season after season, that’s just kind of a given at this point. He’s still performing though, so why not allow him to come back? As arguably the most iconic challenger out there, he easily deserves a spot on the cast list of any season.

3 Stay Home: Johnny Bananas

On the other side of the Challenge veterans, Johnny Bananas can stand to take a break. His track record is incredible, sure, but he’s just too cocky at this point. He made an absolute fool of himself in his most recent season, and got sent home almost as quick as he got into the house due to horribly bad politicking on his part. Bananas just isn’t as fun to watch as he used to be, which is a shame.

2 Return: Wes

Wes, on the other hand, is still great to watch. He’s just as cocky as Bananas is, sure, but he’s overall much more lighthearted and fun to watch. He provides a ton of comedic relief for the show while still being an incredibly fearsome competitor. Wes faced somewhat of a similar fate as Bananas did in 34, so it will be interesting to see how he manages to bounce back in his next few seasons, as he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

1 Stay Home: Ashley

Does anyone… like Ashley? Like actually? Probably not, she can stay home. Ashley really isn’t that great of a competitor, like… she’s fine. Although she’s somehow managed to win twice, which is just shocking. Either way, she just causes unnecessary drama, such as when she egged Turbo on and ended up getting him eliminated from season 34. She’s just not one that we need to see on our TV screens every single season. Just take a break for now Ashley, you can come back in a season or two.
