Separated as babies, the magical twins were adopted to different families and grew up apart. When they finally reunite on their 21st birthdays, they must use their combined magical powers to save their kingdom. As far as Halloween classics go, this film is cute, but mediocre in quality.

With the success of the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, it’s difficult to see why Disney didn’t seem to put even an ounce of the budget and effort into their ghoulish adaptation of an equally popular Disney ride.

Starring Eddie Murphy, The Haunted Mansion revolves around a real estate agent and his family’s stay in a creepy mansion that he has been asked to sell.

6 Watch: Halloweentown (1998)

Victor Frankenstein only has one true friend – a dog named Sparky. After Sparky’s tragic passing in a car accident, Victor seeks to harness the mighty power of electricity to bring his beloved pet back to life.

Inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and a live action short written and directed by Tim Burton in 1984, Frankenweenie was finally “brought to life” as a feature length film nearly thirty years after the original.

3 Skip: Phantom Of The Megaplex (2000)

Disney Channel Original Movies were a big part of many 90’s kids childhoods, but some of them have held up better than others.

Loosely based on Phantom Of The Opera, this playful mystery tells the story of 17-year-old Pete Riley, and his job as Assistant Manager at a supposedly haunted movie theater. While it’s a fun movie for the kids, there’s no need for an annual re-watch for this one.

2 Watch: The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949)

There’s hardly a Disney Halloween cartoon more classic than this! Originally made in 1949, The Adventures Of Ichabod and Mr. Toad still ranks a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, and is sure to make a post trick-or-treating watch party so fun it’s scary!

An adaptation of both The Wind In The Willows and The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, the film is divided into two stories, one being about the terrifying legend of the Headless Horseman.

1 Skip: Maleficent Mistress Of Evil (2019)

A live action reimagining of the sinister villainess from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, Mistress of Evil is a sequel starring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning.

Despite its beautiful visuals and talented cast, the story was uninteresting and ultimately unnecessary. Unfortunately, this was a movie that just did not need to be made. The first film fares a bit better with the critics and may be a better choice for a family-friendly Halloween time watch.
