Florence Pugh is on the same boat. While she performed in school plays when she was younger, she never formally studied the craft. Ari Aster, who directed her in Midsommar (2019) said of her abilities: “For someone who was not classically trained, she has formidable instincts. I think she can play anything.”

In comparison, Florence Pugh has been more emotionally involved in her roles. She told Glamour UK about her role in Midsommar, “It was tough on me as I had to be in such a level of mourning and depression that I had never experienced before. I’m not an actor who can immediately cry so my process for doing that film was imagining all the people I cared about in coffins which wasn’t kind to the head or heart.”

Florence Pugh has been dating Scrubs actor Zach Braff since April 2019. They’ve attended red carpet premieres separately but follow each other on social media and have been photographed on dates.
