AC Valhalla Everything Included in the 130 Update

Ubisoft recently announced the latest title update to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will bring plenty of new free content to players. It includes a new festival and the addition of a highly requested new weapon.

Ubisoft has provided a healthy amount of post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla since the game’s release in November 2020. That’s included multiple free updates, including two limited time festival events for players’ settlements, and the addition of two modes, River Raids and Mastery Challenge. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also launched its first paid DLC, Wrath of Druids, in May 2021. The second paid DLC, The Siege of Paris, has a release date for August 2021.

Ubisoft recently released the patch notes for the 1.3.0 Title Update which will release July 27th. Besides the usual patches to address bugs and other known issues, the update adds a new free event for players, the Sigrblot Festival. The festival will run from July 29th to August 19th. Players will find new quests, brand new festival activities, and new cosmetic items added by the festival. Combat-focused players will rejoice to hear that the Sigrblot Festival will be adding one-handed swords to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, a weapon which has been much requested by the community. The update will also include support for the upcoming The Siege of Paris paid DLC, though a second download later in the month will be required to fully install the content.

How Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Update Changes the Game

The new update is also adding some quality of life changes to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The first of these adds optional level-scaling to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will allow players to adjust how difficult enemies will be throughout the regions of the game. The difficulty ranges from keeping enemy levels to the region level, all the way to boosting enemies to 50 or more power levels above a player’s current power level. The skill tree is getting an update as well, with some design changes to make it easier for players to find new skills as they are added to the game. In that vein, six new skills are being added, including new ways to generate health.

Although the first year of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s post-launch support is coming to an end, players will still see more content well into the game’s second year. Ubisoft announced at E3 that it would support the game with more content and surprises for a second year, and teased an upcoming expansion that might have to do with the mythical fiery realm of Muspelheim. With at least one more free festival update expected in the 2021 post-launch roadmap, players have no shortage of content to play in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
