Among Us’ Best New Hiding Places On The Airship Map

Among Us’ Airship map went live on March 31 and includes several new hiding spots players can use to avoid being spotted by the Impostor.

InnerSloth kicked off the next chapter of Among Us on March 31 with the addition of the Airship map. The latest update for the indie game introduced the largest stage in the game’s nearly three-year history. It features unique mechanics exclusive to the Airship, all new tasks, and several secret hiding spots that Crewmates can use to escape the murderous Impostors.

The Airship has 18 different rooms that players need to commit to memory if they want to weed out Impostors. All of these new areas feature dark corners or objects to hide behind in a dicey situation. Each of these hideaways can come in handy when users are playing Among Us Hide and Seek or trying to evade the Impostor in a classic round of InnerSloth’s game.

The following hiding spots are best used situationally, like when players find themselves in danger near their locations. For the best results, players will want to use Among Us’ blank name trick, which still works after the Airship update and eliminates the visible name tag above a Crewmate’s head. Without text hovering overhead, certain objects in the Airship can be used to hide in plain sight.

Among Us Airship: Bathroom Stalls

The toilets above the Cargo Bay can be used to hide when a player has completed their tasks and doesn’t want to risk being killed. Unfortunately, this is one of the most obvious hiding spots on the map, and the stall door takes a few seconds before it closes. All four rooms are dead ends, so if someone does get caught inside a stall, there’s nowhere to run.

Among Us Airship: Vault Statues

Thanks to the blank name trick, the Vault statues at the top left of the map can be used as sneaky hiding places that Impostors won’t expect. The statue with the tall red hat is the superior option, especially if the Crewmate is wearing the red skin. Still, the golden hat can work if the Impostor checking the room isn’t paying close enough attention.

Among Us Airship: Viewing Deck

The Viewing Deck’s outside area can be used as a last-resort hiding spot because it’s in such a secluded area of the map. There is a task at the bottom left corner of the map, but players will need to walk outside to see if anyone is hiding at the deck’s very ledge. Just like the bathroom stalls, if a player gets caught here, there’s no hope of survival.

Among Us Airship: Cockpit Chair

Finally, the Cockpit has a surprisingly sly hiding spot directly behind the chair in the middle of the room. The only way this works is if players are using the blank name trick, and it’s even more effective with the cyan-colored Crewmate. The beauty of this spot is that players have a chance at getting away if they notice someone heading straight for them. Even so, sometimes the best way to avoid Among Us’ deadly Impostors is to stand completely still.
