Among Us might’ve just received The Airship update, which introduced the fourth (and largest) stage to the social deduction game, but developer InnerSloth has even more plans to continue growing its smash-hit release. Its next big patch – which has yet to receive a release date – will allow Among Us lobbies to fit up to 15 players, up from ten. This change requires InnerSloth to add a few new colors since there are currently only twelve astronaut hues to choose from. So, what color options could be coming to Among Us?

InnerSloth revealed that it’s now fully focusing on increasing the game’s lobby size, including more colors, and overhauling the game’s art style. Big changes are coming to the murder-mystery game, and they’ll require at least three more Among Us colors to ensure there aren’t any duplicate astronauts in any given round. The game already offers a wide range of shades to choose from, and InnerSloth has also partially teased its plans for new Among Us colors.

The creators of Among Us have yet to reveal every new color it plans on adding with its upcoming lobby update. Even so, InnerSloth actually already created a new color that it decided not to include yet since it wanted to give players an even number of shades to choose from. Here’s the Among Us Crewmate colors that will almost certainly be added, and other unique options InnerSloth might be contemplating.

What Colors Could Among Us Add Next?

in case u didn’t know, here’s what we’re planning for the next big update! ⭐️ 15 player lobbies ⭐️ new player colors ⭐️ improved art style also!! bug fixes and more improvements coming too, thank u for your patience 🙏 we’re finally catching up yeeeeeeeeeeeee pic.twitter.com/0rZkgeKq4o

Tan: A thirteenth Among Us color already exists, according to statements made during a developer stream on Among Us’ Discord server (via Among Us’ fan wiki), and InnerSloth designed it as a hue which is unique enough that colorblind players shouldn’t have issues identifying it. It’s assumed that the color was created in April 2019, around the same time Cyan and Lime were added to the game. Currently, Tan Among Us Crewmates can’t be selected, but InnerSloth will likely unlock it once 15-player lobbies are introduced since the character model is ready to be used.

Fortegreen: Among Us’ secret Fortegreen color is a third shade of green that is only momentarily accessible to players who load the game with the name “???.” Players will only appear as the color for a moment, but once a stable connection is found, it’ll switch to any other available color. Fortegreen has become a bit of Among Us lore that InnerSloth could choose to rework into a usable color – although it may be a little too close to existing Among Us Crewmate colors.

Apart from shades that already technically exist in the game, InnerSloth has several unique colors to choose from. Light Purple, Light Orange, Marooon, and Light Yellow could all work as new Among Us colors that wouldn’t clash with existing hues. No matter what InnerSloth chooses, the roster of Crewmates and Impostors for every round will soon be more colorful than ever.
