AndaSeat TCompact Gaming Chair Review Comfortably Accessible

The AndaSeat T-Compact Gaming Chair is comfortable, and also offers a high number of options that ensures it can fit most of the common needs a prospective user might have – and even some of the uncommon ones, too. AndaSeat’s latest chair isn’t without a few flaws, but they’re all outweighed by the seat’s comfort, convenience, and accessibility.

The AndaSeat T-Compact chair is remarkably simple to put together, despite all the various pieces required to do so. It’s all organized in an efficient way to make laying everything out as easy as possible. From there, assembly is as simple as snapping and screwing a few pieces in place, avoiding the frustration that can come with more complex build scenario. The chair is a rather hefty 70 pounds, so one may want some help from another person to assemble it.

Unlike some other gaming chairs, the AndaSeat T-Compact Gaming Chair isn’t incredibly flashy. It’s not a bright color and it’s light on branding, creating a sleek, subtle feeling that many gaming chairs tend to lack. Its EverSoft Linen fabric also ensures it doesn’t have that gross, sticky feeling during warmer months that some leather office furniture suffers from. It is always reliable in how it feels, ensuring someone can sit in it for extended periods of time and feel very little discomfort. Thankfully, form and function are married in efficiency, as the AndaSeat T-Compact Chair is as comfortable as it is aesthetically pleasing. The head pillow is a bit too thick and may push some people’s heads a bit further than they’d like, but it can be removed if it’s not comfortable when sitting up. It’s a much better accessory for when the chair is reclined and the user is just lying down.

There are plenty of gaming chairs that offer pillows, but the lumbar pillow in the AndaSeat T-Compact Gaming Chair provides ample support for the lower back. It can also be adjusted and moved so it rests in more specific spots, which provides relief when the chair is partially reclined. That said, when the chair reclines, it highlights some of the overall build quality concerns. If the weight of a user’s back is against the chair as the lever to recline is pulled, the lever will make a loud and startling sound as if something is breaking.

Similarly, the armrests for the chair also seem to awkwardly move right or left slightly if leaned on too hard. Previous AndaSeat chairs have had adjustable armrests and have been functional, so there’s no reason for the AndaSeat T-Compact Chair to be moving in this way. The armrests are also hard and uncomfortable to lean on for extended periods, which feels like a hindrance to the otherwise premium quality of the plush seat.

Outside of a few issues with the build quality, the AndaSeat T-Compact Gaming Chair is largely a solid piece of furniture. It offers comfort during extended sitting sessions and can be adjusted for a variety of needs, and is a capable and customizable addition to both office and entertainment setups as a result. That said, at $400, it may not quite justify its value. There’s nothing exceptionally special about this specific chair that can’t be found in others. If one can find it at a discount, it is absolutely worth getting, but the price is currently a steep ask, and places it in competition with some other offerings that may be better fits depending on a user’s needs.
