Apple AirPods Pro Vs Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Best For NoiseCanceling

The Apple AirPods Pro make blocking out noise easy. However, Bose’s new QuietComfort Earbuds have some features that just might make them a better option for those that care about noise cancellation. The QuietComfort Earbuds have been making rounds over the internet for quite some time now, albeit under a different name, although they were recently and officially launched by Bose.

Apple’s AirPods have been the go-to true wireless earphones for iPhone users and the Pro model only made the earbuds even more popular, thanks to the added noise-canceling. However, Bose’s latest TWS earbuds are now here to challenge the AirPods Pro popularity with claims of utilizing the most effective noise-canceling technology in the world. The QuietComfort Earbuds are said to perform as good as Bose’s renowned headphones, which shouldn’t be much of a surprise, considering some of its older-generation devices have been known to remain competitive when compared to newer models from other brands.

On paper, the Bose’s latest earbuds appear to outmatch Apple’s AirPods Pro when it comes to noise-canceling and control alone. The QuietComfort Earbuds utilizes some of the best proprietary noise-cancellation technology found in Bose’s top-rated QC headphone lineup. According to Bose, the QC Earbuds feature eleven noise control levels. This allows the wearer to fine-tune external noise to their exact preference, making external or internal sound leakage as loud or as quiet as needed. In comparison, the AirPods Pro are only capable of toggling between three options: on, off, and transparency mode.

AirPods Pro & QuietComfort Earbuds Differences

The AirPods Pro’s water resistance level is pretty similar to the QC Earbuds’ IPX4 rating. When it comes to passive noise-isolation, however, QC Earbuds use Bose’s patented StayHear tips, which employ earhooks to secure a tight fit inside the ear, improving in-ear stability and passively blocking out noise in the process. The AirPods Pro use regular tips with no hooks to fasten inside the ear and this could result in some sound getting in, if worn loosely.

The six-hour battery life on offer with the QuietComfort Earbuds also outlasts the AirPods Pro’s 4.5-hours as well. Although the charging case of Apple’s model significantly has more juice, considering it increases the overall battery duration up to 24 hours. In comparison, the QC Earbuds’ case adds an additional 12 hours taking the overall total up to 18 hours. Another difference worth noting is the QuietComfort Earbuds come with a $279 price attached, compared to the $249 cost of the AirPods Pro.

Arguably, the AirPods Pro are in need of some upgrades to keep up with Bose’s latest and cutting-edge QuietComfort Earbuds, although that might happen sooner than later, as Apple is hosting a product event next week.
