Avatar’s Azula Voice Actor Joins Marvel’s WandaVision Cast

Grey DeLisle-Griffin, whose voice work includes Scooby-Doo and Avatar: The Last Airbender, tweeted that she will have a role on Marvel’s WandaVision.

Iconic voice actor Grey DeLisle-Griffin revealed that she will play a part on the upcoming WandaVision show.

DeLisle-Griffin responded to a New Year’s Day post by WandaVision’s Twitter account, saying “My voice is in this.” No details were given as to what role the actor will play on the upcoming Marvel series.

A veteran of the voice acting industry, DeLisle-Griffin’s career has spanned hundreds of characters with her distinctive voice appearing in television shows, movies and video games. One of her longest-running roles has been Daphne Blake in the Scooby-Doo franchise, where she’s voiced Daphne in nearly every direct-to-video film and series since 2001, including What’s New Scooby-Doo, Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated and the Supernatural crossover episode, “Scoobynatural.” Amongst DeLisle’s other iconic roles include Vicky on The Fairly Odd Parents, Azula on Avatar: The Last Airbender, Mandy on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and Sam Manson on Danny Phantom.

The actor is also no stranger to playing superhero characters. With DC, she’s best known for voicing Catwoman in the Batman Arkham and Injustice games along with Wonder Woman in DC Super Hero Girls. For Marvel, DeLisle has voiced Captain Marvel on Avengers Assemble, Black Cat on Disney XD’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and Mystique in the X-Men Legends games.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. The series premieres Jan. 15 on Disney+.
