Big Time Rush is back in the spotlight after a debut on Netflix. That has fans wondering what the original cast is up to today.

Within the recent Nickelodeon additions to Netflix, Big Time Rush is the newest nostalgic series added to the streaming platform. Kendall, Logan, James, and Carlos were just hockey players with big plans for themselves and they wanted to help each other make their dreams come true so when it came time for James to get an audition, they made it happen and life changed for all of them.
After all of their time together acting, singing, and dancing, the boys eventually had to grow up and explore other options after their stint at Nickelodeon. Once the four seasons of BTR were over they all kept singing and are continuing their careers in music individually.
10 Kendall Schmidt
Known for playing Kendall Knight on BTR, Schmidt continues his music career as lead singer for the band, Heffron Drive. He also recently added vocal tidbits to Splice, a digital studio platform, where his vocal pack features upbeat alt-pop vocals for all moods that creators can add to their own styles of music.
Based on his Instagram feed, he is also in a relationship with the fitness trainer, Mica and in March he had a quick collab with fellow Big Time Rush member, Logan Henderson.
9 Logan Henderson
Seen as Logan Mitchell in the hit TV show, he was the “smart friend” who wanted to be a doctor and never expected to end up in a Hollywood boy band. Henderson himself is still an ambitious singer and adventurer.
According to his Instagram collaboration with his fellow previous band members, he is just as excited about BTR hitting Netflix as his fans are. Creating a brand behind his own name, he has been releasing solo music and plans on continuing his artistry.
8 Carlos PenaVega
Carlos Garcia in the show wanted to be a superhero and was the fun-loving, seemingly tough but mostly sweet and kind, helmet-wearing best bud. Carlos PenaVega is also those things in real life, minus the superpowers. It’s evident from his Instagram that he loves cruising and still works as a voice actor.
He is a family man raising his two kids with his wife, actress Alexa PenaVega. He is working with Bethany, a global nonprofit, to raise money for families to live a self-sustainable life and provide social family services where it is needed.
7 James Maslow
Also known as James Diamond, he was the only BTR member who actually wanted to be famous and was typically seen as the glamorous or vain friend of the group. James Maslow is still glamorous as the founder of Vacation Club Clothing and continues to make music.
His clothing line consists of hoodies, sweats, and accessories to bring consumers that vacation feeling even at home. He is one half of the DJ duo, LTX, alongside Eugene Ugorski. And he features covers and his own music on his YouTube channel.
6 Ciara Bravo
Most recently playing the role of Emily opposite Tom Holland in their new AppleTV movie, Cherry, Ciara Bravo has been nothing short of successful.
Since BTR and her time as Katie Knight ended in 2013, Bravo has been in various TV movies, series, and feature films including Neighbors, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, and A Teacher.
5 Stephen Kramer Glickman
The infamous and resolute Gustavo Roque was portrayed by Stephen Kramer Glickman. Glickman has since provided his voice to multiple animated productions since BTR including, White Fang, Storks, and currently in post-production, Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild.
He originally got his start performing live theatre and was on Last Comic Standing, so it makes sense that he still periodically performs stand-up comedy. But he also hosts The Night Time Show and Never Surrender podcasts for conversations in and about Hollywood.
4 Tanya Chisholm
Kelly Wainwright, the assistant to Gustavo Roque, is actually Tanya Chisholm or @tancandy on Instagram. She cultivates her social media to be “a girl’s guide to gettin’ glam, perfect peace, and a happy heart.”
Her acting work has continued and she is a consultant for Beautycounter, a clean beauty product company. She even has her own Etsy shop for products from her @gloryxglamour line.
3 Challen Cates
She went by many names on the show, Jennifer Knight, Kendall’s mom, and “Mama Knight.” Cates is an actress, a mother, and a wine producer. Challen Winery is her family-owned Santa Barbara winery.
Like most Instagram feeds, Cates features her love of life including her animals and family but also her story highlights being on the different production sets. Since BTR, Cates has been in multiple TV series like Modern Family and Ruthless.
2 Erin Sanders
Camille Roberts in Big Time Rush and before that, Quinn Pensky in Zoey 101, Erin Sanders has been busy not only in acting but as a writer, director, and yoga teacher.
Sanders recently did an interview with Amanda Montell about Sanders’ ’80s horror movie, The Call, where she discusses the downfall of the “stable career path.”
1 Katelyn Tarver
Katelyn portrayed Jo Taylor, Kendall’s girlfriend on the show. Fans often wondered if Katelyn and Kendall were romantically involved outside of the series. However, they debunked any rumors quickly but enthusiastically reassured fans and interviewers that they were good friends on and off of the set.
Katelyn currently has a thriving music career and started a musical project with her friend Will, calling themselves Reaves. She released her solo song and music video, “So Would I” last summer.
