10 Helped Amy Quit Smoking

Quitting smoking is no easy task, especially when you don’t have a support system. Lucky for Amy, she had the full support of the precinct, including Terry. Sarge understands what it’s like to overcome an addiction since he was addicted to food most of his life and he wants to use his past experiences to help Amy in her struggle.

Even though Terry didn’t successfully cure Amy of her smoking addiction, he did show fans that he’s a true friend who cares about the well being of his squad.

9 Supported Rosa When She Came Out

Everyone in the 99th precinct supported Rosa when she came out, and Terry, especially, proved that all he wanted was for Rosa to be happy. When the two are assigned the task of picking up Amy’s veil on her and Jake’s wedding day, Terry sees it as a perfect opportunity to find Rosa a girlfriend.

Terry encourages Rosa to talk to their driver, as he believes they would be the perfect pair. A true friend, like Terry, will always support you in talking to your crush because they believe you deserve happiness and a little flirting.

Sometimes peoples’ ideas can be too outlandish for their friends, but that’s when a best friend like Terry steps in. Every Brooklyn Nine-Nine fan knows Jake and Doug Judy have a complicated friendship. No one in the 99th precinct, except for Jake, trusts Doug Judy, but they all trust Jake.

When Terry gets roped into one of Jake and Doug’s shenanigan, she goes against his better judgment and puts his trust in his friend. Things didn’t go exactly as planned, but Jake was right about Doug. Terry was right to have faith in his friend.

7 Got Charles’ Money Back For The Website

It can be tricky going into business with not only a coworker but a close friend. Terry and Charles demonstrated this when they tried to go into the bone broth business together. As every Brooklyn Nine-Nine fan knows, Charles is always all in when it comes to these endeavors, so he quickly sank over $10,000 into creating a website for their start-up business.

Charles and Terry were unsuccessful at making a deal since the jars of broth exploded, but Terry, being the caring friend he is, got Charles’ money back that he had spent on the website. They realized they were better off as friends and not business partners.

6 Proved To Captain Holt What An Impact He’s Had

When Captain Holt is demoted back to a uniformed officer walking the beat, he lost a little bit of confidence in himself. Once he was finally able to take his rightful spot as captain again, he was looking forward to seeing all of his treasures in his office that remind him of what an impact he’s had. Unfortunately, Terry mistakenly threw away a business card that held a lot of value to Captain Holt.

But Terry finds a way to make it up to the captain by dumping a box of business cards on his desk. Each card symbolized someone Captain Holt has helped in his career, reminding him how much of an impact he has had on his community.

5 Understood Gina’s Love Of Dancing

If there is one thing Gina loves more than herself, it’s dancing. And true friends support what you love. When Gina is kicked out of her dance group, The Floorgasms, she’s crushed. But her pal Terry knows just how to cheer her up and make her forget all about them.

Terry steps up to the plate and makes Gina’s dream come true by performing a dance with her. Not only did he dance with her, he did it shirtless, which every Brooklyn Nine-Nine fan knows is Gina’s ultimate fantasy.

4 Tried To Cheer Up Charles

Breakups are tough, especially when it’s with someone you thought you were going to marry. Charles is devastated when his wedding to Vivian gets called off, even though it was for the best.

The squad rallies to cheer Charles up, including Sergeant Jeffords. After Rosa’s failed attempt at getting to Charles to burn Vivian’s stuff, Terry has Charles break plates in order to deal with his overwhelming emotions. The plate-smashing didn’t go as planned, but at least Terry still cared enough to try to make Charles feel better.

Every Brooklyn Nine-Nine fan knows Gina is the too-cool-for-school type, but she reluctantly confesses to Terry that she’s been taking night classes, which led her to getting kicked out of her dance group.

Terry not only applauds Gina’s dedication to gaining a higher education, but he also takes active steps to support her. Terry got the rest of the squad to pitch in to help manage Gina’s time, so she can pursue her degree and her passion for dance.

2 Comforted Jake About Amy

Boyle might have been the first one to notice Jake’s crush on Amy, but he was not the only one to comfort Jake. Sarge begins to notice how nothing is satisfying Jake, not even solving an unsolvable case. Terry knows something is bothering Jake, so he decides to sit down with his friend and get to the bottom of it.

When Terry realizes that Amy is the reason Jake is unhappy, he grabs a drink and helps Jake forget his sorrows with some drinks. Before long, the two are loudly singing together like every best friend duo does at some point.

1 Distracted Captain Holt By Dancing

There isn’t much Captain Holt is afraid of, but he does have one fear. Being stuck in an elevator during a blackout happens to be something that Captain Holt does not enjoy. Luckily, he’s trapped with Terry, who knows the perfect way to distract them.

While stuck in the elevator, Terry teaches Holt dance moves to Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It.” Not only does the dance lesson distract Holt from his fear, but it later comes in handy when they entertain Amy during childbirth.
