RuPaul’s Drag Race runner-up Brooke Lynn Hytes and America’s Next Top Model coach Stacey McKenzie are set to come back as judges on Canada’s Drag Race season 2, but Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman will not be joining them. There’s no denying that season 1 of Canada’s Drag Race was massive hit with the fans. That cast of Canadian queens was lovable, talented, and fierce, with fans falling in love with the likes of Priyanka, Jimbo, Rita Baga, and Scarlett BoBo, among others. Alas, some viewers took issue with the judges that were chosen for the show.

After so many shocking eliminations and questionable decisions, the fans became very vocal about the judges on Canada’s Drag Race season 1, with some even calling for their replacement. Most of the criticism was unfortunately sent toward Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, who felt the need to quit social media altogether as a result. While it is true that most reality shows aren’t entirely figured out during their very first seasons, a lot of fans have grown accustomed to the well-oiled machine that RuPaul’s Drag Race has become and drew harsh comparisons between the two shows.

While there is still not a lot of information about Canada’s Drag Race season 2, this new cycle has been confirmed by Crave and WOW Presents Plus, and it is expected to come out in 2021. Alas, the fans can now count on Brooke Lynn Hytes and Stacey McKenzie to return as judges on season 2. During a recent interaction shared on the show’s official Instagram profile, Brooke and Stacey remarked on how excited they are to come back for Canada’s Drag Race season 2. However, they also carefully noted that season 1 judge Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman will not return to the show.

It is unfortunate that Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman could not return as a judge on Canada’s Drag Race. On the other hand, Brooke Lynn Hytes mentioned that Jeffrey is now busy filming a new show, so the actor is doing just fine. Meanwhile, Jeffrey’s now-confirmed exit will leave one spot open in the Canada’s Drag Race trio of judges, which means that the series will either move forward with just Brooke and Stacey as permanent judges or will have to choose someone to replace Jeffrey in the panel.

The fans must stay tuned for more updates coming from Canada’s Drag Race season 2 later in the year. There is still a lot to be revealed before the season officially comes out, and the fanbase can’t wait to hear about it.
