Chucky Shows Jennifer Tilly Says Rest Of Season Is Absolute Mayhem

Chucky’s Jennifer Tilly says the remainder of the season is going to be “absolutely bonkers.” The show, which is a SyFy and USA co-production, premiered on October 12, 2021. The ten-episode season is telling the story of Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur) a bullied gay teen who buys the Chucky doll at a garage sale and ends up at the center of a new set of slasher murders perpetrated by the toy. The series also stars Devon Sawa, Lexa Doig, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Teo Briones, Carina Battrick, and Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky.

The Chucky series has been slow to dole out the cameos from characters in previous entries of the franchise although the end of the most recent film, Cult of Chucky, promised an even deeper bench of cameos to come. They spent the first four episodes setting up the new characters and their dynamics, with only a voice cameo from a man who is presumably Chucky’s first victim Andy. However, the most recent episode, “Little Little Lies,” reintroduced both Fiona Dourif’s Nica Pierce and Jennifer Tilly’s Tiffany Valentine to the franchise.

Speaking with TVLine, Jennifer Tilly promises that, now that she has arrived, the rest of the season is going to be “mayhem.” She promises that “you’re going to see lots of emoting” and that she’s “gonna give little Fiona a run for her money.” She says the rest of the season is going to be “absolutely bonkers,” and considering that this is a series that has already featured Devon Sawa playing twin brothers, a horrifying half-melted Chucky, and a teenage Chucky gifting a child with a severed hand, that’s a big promise.

In the last few episodes, you’re going to see lots of emoting from Miss Tilly. I’m gonna give little Fiona a run for her money in the crying department!

The s–t hits the fan. It becomes absolutely bonkers. It’s not a little mischief, it’s havoc and mayhem. It’s spectacular!

Jennifer Tilly has been an iconic part of the Child’s Play franchise ever since her appearance in the fourth film, 1998’s Bride of Chucky. She doubled down in the sequel, playing both Tiffany and a fictionalized version of herself. Tilly’s inimitable voice and willingness to throw herself entirely into the role have made Tiffany equally as iconic as Chucky himself.

The Chucky series has already been delivering on the thrills and spills that fans of the franchise expect. However, now that Tiffany and Nica are back to wreak havoc, Jennifer Tilly’s promise certainly feels like it’s about to come true. Series creator Don Mancini has been unafraid to completely reinvent Chucky in every new iteration, so there’s no way to tell exactly what direction the series will go, keeping fans on their toes.
