With the massive viewership generated by Season 3 of Cobra Kai, Netflix has already announced its intention of making Season 4 of the hit Karate Kid spinoff series. One of the major storylines in Season 3 of the series involved Hawk’s ambivalence to remain a bullying member of Cobra Kai under Kreese or become a friendlier part of the newfangled Eagle fang Dojo with Johnny as sensei.

10 Humble Pie
Roughly 10 minutes into the opening chapter of Cobra Kai III, Hawk manages to sound cool in one breath, only to be humiliated in the next when trying to impress female classmates on the first day of school.
As Hawk’s fellow karate pals approach him in the halls, he says “This is the year. Day two. Round One. Let’s get it, boys!” Moments later, Hawk’s confidence is shattered when saying “Hey ladies, I know freshman year can be kinda scary. If anybody gives you any trouble, just come to me. I’m the guy…” before a young lady retorts with “The guy who wets the bed and got kicked into that trophy case.”
9 Utter Disrespect
In the fifth frame of Cobra Kai III, Hawk and his mischievous minions burglarize an arcade prize-shop. After tricking Chris by saying, “Why don’t you be a good girl and grab us some of those bobbleheads,” Hawk steals a slew of stuffed animals.
On the way out, Hawk blasts Chris with another flagrant insult. This time, as Mitch says to Chris, “Tell your mom I miss her,” Hawk follows up by saying “Yeah, tell her to stop calling me” while making a lewd gesture.
8 Warm Beer
Until he makes his ultimate transformation back into a good guy at the end of the season, Hawk’s villainy is voiced through one vile quote after another. In Episode 5, he can’t help but give Mitch a hard time.
After successfully stealing the stuffed animals from the arcade, Mitch opens a backpack full of beer cans and asks if anyone is up for a warm one. In total disgust, Hawk answers by saying “Who the hell wants a warm beer? You didn’t bring an ice-pack?” Mitch hangs his head and walks away in silence.
7 He’s Mine
Sometimes brevity is better. In the case of Hawk’s season 3 evolution from a hardened tough-guy to a more compassionate fighter with a conscience, he gives one of his best and most badass quotes right before teaching his bullies from season 1 a lesson.
When Hawk’s two original bullies attempt to join Cobra Kai in episode 6, Hawk is reluctant at best and frightened at worst. After watching one of the bullies beat up his karate mate, Hawk fortifies his nerves and says “He’s mine,” when Kreese asks who’ll fight the other newcomer. Moments later, Hawk bashes the bully’s brains out in a brutal and bloody fashion.
6 Reject’s Table
In episode 7, Obstaculos, Hawk continues to bully and berate those around him. One such person includes Mitch, who Hawk disallows to join his lunch table after the arcade incident.
As Mitch approaches the lunch table, Hawk says “Sorry, party’s full.” When Mitch asks where he’s supposed to sit, Hawk responds by saying “The reject’s table. Over there.” Mitch looks over and sees a sad Bert sitting at the lunch table. Afterward, Hawk has a much more substantial conversation with Miguel over the direction of Cobra Kai.
5 You Got Soft
About five minutes of screen time after Hawk insults Mitch in episode 7, he does the same to Johnny in a face-to-face confrontation.
After Johnny apologizes for letting his students down and being unable to face them as a result, Hawk says “Yeah. I guess it makes it easier to tell yourself that. But the truth is…you bailed on us long before that fight happened. You got soft. And we paid the price.” Johnny’s response begins Hawk’s seasonal evolution.
4 Cobra Kai For Life
At the end of Episode 7, Hawk arrives at the public park in the appearance of joining Johnny’s new Eagle Fang Karate dojo. However, Hawk brought Kreese and the other Cobra Kai along to mock Eagle Fang rather than join along.
Upon witnessing Johnny’s modest karate crew, Hawk states “I told you. Cobra Kai for life!” The quote is both badass and indicative of Hawk’s loyalties no matter the cost.
3 Snake Pole
While he portrays himself as a badass alpha leader, Hawk gives a few funny contradictory quotes in the penultimate episode that makes him seem both weak and ineffective.
As Hawk, Tori, Kyler, and Robbie attempt to steal the cobra snakes, Hawk yells at Kyler for failing to bring the snake pole to wrangle the reptiles. When Tori tells Hawk to use his hands, he says “Are you insane? I’m not sticking my hand in there!” Moments later, Hawk continues to berate Kyler by saying “What the hell, dumbass, we failed the mission because of you.” Hawk looks extra foolish when Robbie reveals he completed the mission by himself, but it’s a great scene for the character.
2 Eat That!
During the epic Christmastime bash that concluded Cobra Kai III, Hawk let his most profane language fly while facing off with an opponent.
As soon as the kid comes at him, Hawk ducks a punch and proceeds to bash a crystal bowl over the kid’s head. Afterward, Hawk screams “Yeah, eat that shit up! Get up!” Despite the cruelty, it’s one of Hawk’s most badass moments of the season.
1 Redemption
Hawk’s most meaningful quote of the entire season comes at the end when he makes the decision to save his old friend Dimitri rather than inflict further harm upon him.
After striking Dimitri’s captors down instead, Hawk looks at Dimitri in the eyes and says “Look man, I’m sorry. For all of it. Do you wanna help me win this thing.” Dimitri’s expression goes from sheer terror to utter happiness to be reunited with his childhood friend.
