The full contents page for the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons book Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos leaked online, giving expectant players a chance to look into what’s arriving in the near future.

Posted to Reddit by u/ilikemilkshake, the image shows the entirety of the table of contents for the sourcebook, set for release on Dec. 10. The leak reveals the book has 7 chapters in all, teasing adventures, magical items, NPCs and much more. There is also a basic introduction to the world of Strixhaven and an appendix for the university’s campus map. Though the post has since been removed from r/DnD, it is still viewable on the original poster’s user profile.

Confirming the book will be at least 224 pages long, the contents table also gives players a good idea of what kind of campaigns Curriculum of Chaos will offer. Chapters and subchapters like “Extracurriculars,” “Exams” and “First Day on Campus” imply players will get to experience authentic college life, allowing for more contained and immediately relatable stories with an added magical twist. The designers for the upcoming book confirmed that players will even be able to romance NPCs. Certain sections such as “A Sinister Shadow” suggest there will still be classic evils lurking on campus.

The Strixhaven University is joining the D&D universe as part of a crossover with Magic: The Gathering, but the setting is also taking inspiration from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, 80s John Hughes films and even Pitch Perfect. These influences feed into Strixhaven’s narrative that takes place over several years, allowing for players’ characters to grow in strength and maturity over the course of their education.

This leak also reveals the name of each adventure players will work through, which according to the book’s product description, can be played as standalone plots or interconnected to create one overarching campaign. The adventures “School is in Session,” “Hunt for Mage Tower,” “The Magister’s Masquerade” and “A Reckoning in Ruins” suggest a scaling difficulty curve, allowing Dungeon Masters to push their players.

Over 40 new magical creatures and NPCs have previously been teased as part of the campaign, a statistic which is confirmed in Chapter 7, “Friends and Foes.” Players will discover 44 entries ranging from the “Daemogoth” to the “Relic Sloth.” The character creation chapter, allowing players to pick their students’ chosen colleges and perks, also includes a section for the Owlin, D&D’s latest playable race.

The hardcover book is currently listed at $49.99 and is available for pre-order before its release on Dec. 10.
