Deathstroke Gets Epic New Armor to Hunt Down a Major DC Villain

Warning: contains a preview for Deathstroke Inc #3!

The latest preview for Deathstroke’s independent DC adventure reveals new armor for the assassin. Deathstroke Inc. #3 features the titular supervillain preparing for a journey into a world of fantasy. His target is living their dream and he’s prepared to shatter it – in style.

Slade Wilson is known for his incredible and lethal skills. He’s traditionally an assassin, but as of late he has been serving as a mercenary of sorts. Instead of being a villain, he is teamed up with Black Canary and T.R.U.S.T. to hunt down various targets. In the previous issue, he went to space after Cyborg Superman. Now, he is after one of Wonder Woman’s classic foes and he’s even farther from home, with a completely new outfit.

Deathstroke Inc. #3 has the creative team of Joshua Williamson, Howard Porter, Hi-Fi, and Steve Wands. AIPT Comics has shared a peek at Slade Wilson’s newest hunt. He has received a new look to match his quest for Cheetah in a world of fantasy. To match his mission, he now dons a suit of armor and a fitting new weapon that replaces his guns. The preview reveals Slade and Black Canary confronting the Queen of Fables, who has given Cheetah a vacation destination in a fictional realm of magic. Deathstroke is forced to go into Cheetah’s fantasy and he gets a bulky set of armor that is very different from his usual attire. Nonetheless, it provides him with lots of edges and even adapts his mask. Instead of Slade’s traditional mask, he gets a helmet in his usual color scheme. He still has his signature tie flowing behind him and his guns are replaced by a brand new sword. This isn’t too big of a difference from his arsenal since Deathstroke frequently fights with a blade. However, this one is much bulkier than the sword he has been using in recent adventures, but he has been known to use larger swords in the past. He shouldn’t have many issues with his weapons, though his armor could be a bit of a challenge to maneuver in compared to his typical gear.

The world Slade is in is a fantasy kingdom named Che-terra, where Cheetah reigns as a royal. The bright, magical appearance will likely be incredibly deceptive since Cheetah never goes down without a fight and is likely to have some protections in place. Black Canary also won’t be around for back-up due to taking responsibility for delivering Queen of Fables to T.R.U.S.T. – leaving Deathstroke on his own. He tends to work alone, so this situation will likely feel like a routine job – apart from the magic and rainbows that lie ahead of him. The world around him may not be his cup of tea, but Deathstroke – and his new armor – are sure to deliver when Deathstroke Inc. #3 releases on November 23.
