Does Jungle Cruise Have An EndCredits Scene

Jungle Cruise tells the adventurous story of explorers traveling down the Amazon River looking for the Tree of Life: but does the movie have a post-credits scene? Jungle Cruise stars Emily Blunt as the scientist Dr Lily Houghton, Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. “The Rock,” as boat skipper Frank Wolff, and Jack Whitehall as Lily’s brother MacGregor, as well as a host of recognizable actors in supporting roles, such as Jesse Plemons as a scheming German prince, Edgar Ramirez as a cursed Spanish conquistador, and Paul Giamatti as a Scroogey harbor operator.

The movie tells a story in the tradition of blockbusters like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Stephen Sommers’ The Mummy movies, as well as Disney’s other ride-based franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean. While critics can’t agree on how good the movie is, giving Jungle Cruise mixed reviews across the board, many are saying it’s a fun adventure led by charming characters, and can be enjoyed if you let it take you on a ride.

Jungle Cruise has every whiff of being an intended franchise-starting film, with two huge stars fronting the movie, and existing lore (for what it’s worth) to draw on. But viewers needn’t stick around until the end of the credits – Jungle Cruise does not have a post-credits scene or stinger of any kind for audiences to catch at the end of the movie, though there is something for fans of the movie to see during the credits.

Despite there being no end-credits or mid-credits scene for viewers to catch, over the first portion of the credits are colorful artworks depicting characters and scenes from the movie, scored by more of the beautiful music created by composer James Newton Howard (King Kong, The Dark Knight) for Jungle Cruise. Fans of the movie might enjoy watching the artworks and listening to more music from the movie.

Depending on the box office performance of Jungle Cruise, it’s not unlikely that Disney could greenlight Jungle Cruise 2 as a sequel or spin-off of the film. Dwayne Johnson is a producer on the movie, so very close to its production, and is likely keen to capitalize on any success the movie sees. For now, though, fans of the new movie will just have to wait for confirmation from Disney on whether there might be more of Frank Wolff, Lily and MacGregor Houghton in the future, as Jungle Cruise does not provide any hint as to whether there’s something in the works.
