Dynasty: 10 Worst Things Blake Has Ever Done

The actions of most every character in Dynasty are morally questionable, and these are the absolute worst things Blake has done in the show.

Most characters in Dynasty aren’t decent people with solid moral principles. They’re hungry for power, money, control, and the more they have, the more they want. Often, it doesn’t matter who gets hurt in the way. Not all of them are rotten characters, like Steven or Sam, for instance, but the Carrington name carries a lot of drama and bad news.

Blake, though, knows how to use his money and power to get away with the awful things he and his company do. He’s one of the most controversial characters in the show, with a long line of despicable actions behind his back.

10 Not Being A Present Father

The CEO of one of the biggest multi-billionaire companies in the world certainly is a very busy man, but most of the time, Blake’s absence in his kids’ life seems to be a consequence of plain selfishness. Ignoring Fallon’s wishes to be part of the family business and not caring enough about Steven to call him and ask him what’s going on in his life are two of the most obvious examples. He’s both a boss and a father, but it’s quite obvious which role he puts more effort into.

9 Diminishing Steven’s Beliefs

The CW Steven has always tried to support minorities and fight for social justice, even if it meant opposing his father and the company. Nevertheless, he never gave up on trying to keep a connection with his dad, contrary to Blake, whose only response was belittling Steven’s reasons and battles. He never even cared about understanding his son’s point of view nor trying to support him! An example of this behavior is in the first episode of season 1, in which Steven joins a movement whose goal is to stop a fracking program.

8 Hiding That They’re Related To The Colbys

This might have been one of the most shocking and disgusting twists in season 1, especially for poor Fallon Carrington. She had chosen to team up with Jeff Colby to start a new company and eventually ended up having a romantic relationship with him. They decided to get married, but both of them had second ends.

To save his company from Jeff’s plans, Blake found out about their marriage and decided to wait before telling Fallon that they are cousins. Blake could’ve easily avoided her daughter sleeping with her cousin, if only he had been sincere for a change.

7 Covering Up Carrington Atlantic’s Health Scandal

In season 1 Culhane’s father gets ill. The first Cristal Carrington finds out that his family used to live in Clarke Country, a town where had been a health scandal about the toxic waste and substances the Carrington Atlantic industries caused. Initially, she suppressed the evidence, but later on, realizes that the scandal’s consequences could cause real damage. When she brings the situation up, Blake refuses to find a solution, ignores the well being of Culhane’s father and then proceeds to destroy the evidence. To seal the case off for good, he blackmails his wife Cristal to keep her silence.

6 Pressuring Cristal Flores

Blake significantly contributed to destroying Cristal Flores’ life. At the start of their relationship, they had everything they could wish for, but after the health scandal, all the marriage vows such as equality, respect and compromise suddenly vanished. He dealt with her like a businessman and not at all like a husband. Without any scruple, he even blackmailed Cristal and refused to sign the divorce papers, practically obliging her to surrender and to be with him. Saving his own and the company’s face simply was more important than everything else.

5 Bribing His Sister

Deveraux, Jeff and Monica’s mother, returned to Atlanta in season 2. Since the start, her intentions towards her children were quite shady. The Colbys and the Carringtons hardly went along and, when Blake lost the CEO position and all the charges came up, Jeff saw an opportunity to finally get his revenge on Adam. Deveraux was supposed to help him frame Adam for murder, but Blake paid her to prevent that. Not only did he save the person who has been destroying his family since he arrived, but he also motivated Deveraux to side against her children.

4 Using His Daughter

Fallon’s almost-marriage with Jeff Colby wasn’t the only occasion in which Blake saw his daughter as an opportunity. In the last episodes of season 2, when he ends up in real trouble with the law and loses his position of CEO, he doesn’t think twice before involving Fallon.

Everybody knows that her dad’s approval is one of her life-long dreams, and he knows how to use that: when she tells him she wants to focus on her company instead of her father’s, he offers her a permanent position as an equal associate.

3 Framing Culhane

In season 2, Blake risked losing his company and being arrested but managed to avoid it through stratagems and Cristal Jennings, who helped in setting Culhane up by placing dirty money inside his house. Since, on top of all the other crimes, Carrington Atlantic also was the cause of his father’s death, Culhane was eager to see justice be done. The way Blake framed an innocent man to pay for the crimes he committed, without any scruples too, was one of his meanest actions, especially considering that Culhane used to be close to the Carringtons.

2 Physical Assault In The Work Place Allegations

Among all the accuses that came up in the season 2 finale, there was the one about sexism and misogynism. It started when he accidentally hit Cristal’s leg with the car’s door in public, but became a much bigger deal when three other employees claimed he had been abusive to them too. He doesn’t do much about it besides asking Fallon to solve his problem and state “you know I have a temper”. Maybe the public isn’t wrong about him, considering his previous relationships with women and his behavior with Fallon.

1 Killing Mack

Among all the lines he crossed, this was the worst of them all. He’s an eccentric billionaire, a scruples less businessman, a bad husband, and an absent father. On top of that, he’s also a murderer! He believed Mack, the guy he hired to commit a murder, had caused Cristal’s abortion. In anger, he started torturing him to get a confession, but it didn’t work because Mack was innocent. However, Blake kept on beating him until his eventual death and then got rid of the corpse by dumping it in the manor’s lake.
