Like the rest of the gang, Ross dates quite a few people over the years. Who ranks among his most dateable girlfriends? Who would we stay away from?

Ross Geller wasn’t exactly the ladies man, he sure knew his way around women though. In that, he’d get them to marry him before they actually had a chance to take off. Just kidding. He didn’t want to be divorced, he wanted to be married again. He believed in marriage despite his three divorces.

For every time, Chandler wanted a million dollars, Ross wanted to be married again. Such was his belief in marriage. He tried his best to save every marriage or relationship. But that isn’t to say there weren’t any screw-ups on Ross’s part or on the woman’s part. Wouldn’t it be great to recall women that Ross has dated? Some of those impress us, others are just a disappointment to us.

10 Would Date: Elizabeth Hornswoggle

Just when Ross was celebrating his ‘just the one divorce in ’99’, Elizabeth Hornswoggle showed up. Ross happened to see her at Central Perk and asked her out. Elizabeth is a beautiful young lady. She welcomes Ross into her apartment, even when the latter shows up in leather pants.

Elizabeth Hornswoggle appeared beautiful and welcoming, both. Had it been any other woman in her place, she’d have really freaked out over Ross taking so long in the bathroom. But Elizabeth chose to ask him at the door about his delay in coming out. Neither did she make fun of him and his gooey leather pants. She just stared in disbelief. Lizzie was really patient with Ross. These are pretty solid reasons to date someone.

9 Wouldn’t Date: Whitney

Do you know when people use sex as a weapon? Whitney is one such woman. In doing so, she hurt Ross’s back like hell. Whitney found Ross when she was in the middle of her divorce with her husband Kyle. Ross was supposed to divert her to help Phoebe and Kyle slip out, but he ended up dating her!

Whitney, as fans were told, was a whiner, she constantly needed attention. Her ex-husband wasn’t lying about her, as attested by Ross later. By the by, neither was she lying about her ex-husband, Kyle. So she had no reservations in trashing her ex publically. We’ll take these as our cues.

8 Would Date: Bonnie

Bonnie has to be one of the coolest exes that Ross has ever gone out with. She’d been pretty adventurous since her teens. The woman had been drunk on hard cider, shaved her head and caught up to the strip-happy-days game. Bonnie was the epitome of a fun girlfriend.

Not once did Ross complain about being with Bonnie. She could have been pretty great for him. Ross seemed happy with her. Fans would likely want to date someone who doesn’t push their boundaries and is just fun generally.

7 Wouldn’t Date: Elizabeth Stevens

Elizabeth and Ross had no chemistry since the very beginning. It was immature of her to hit on a professor. Ross was equally immature to go out with her. Elizabeth put Ross’s career at risk when she asked him out. Even if it was at the end of the semester, she should have kept that evaluation anonymous.

It’s completely normal to get a crush on a professor, but knowing the repercussions very well, is acting irresponsibly. It’s cruel to lead on someone you know you have no intention of being in the long run. Ross could have landed in serious trouble because of dating Elizabeth. No one would want a date like that, not us.

6 Would Date: Emily Waltham

One of the least appreciated facts about Emily is how badass she is. She knew what to say, and more importantly when to say it. The girl from Shropshire wasn’t afraid to lash out at Rachel when the latter announced a change of plans. What did she say again, she was run down by one of the wiener carts in New York and been strip-searched at John F. Kennedy Airport. Apparently to Americans, she looked like someone who had a balloon full of cocaine stuffed up their bum!

Emily was pretty generous too, she gave Joey all her candy. The girl from Shropshire, without a doubt, would make for a perfect date. English, sophisticated, beautiful, and loving. Those qualities should do.

5 Wouldn’t Date: Janice Hosenstein

Ross dated Janice for one episode on Friends. She went out with him because Chandler was in Yemen and she was a young woman. She had needs. So stop before you judge her. Janice and Ross had a lot in common, they both were divorced, they were single parents in the city.

Janice always had that laugh, the unbearable, hysterical laugh that made it difficult to be with her. Know that she walked out on Ross because he was too whiney! It’s unbelievable. Why would anyone want to be with Janice’s laugh in the first place? It could make anyones ears bleed!

4 Would Date: Julie

Julie and Ross met in China, where they participated in a dig. Julie and Ross were perfectly compatible with one another. It’s hard to find any character flaw in Julie. She put her and her partner’s priorities above everything else. She was smart, intelligent and a hard-working professional.

Julie very well could have been the love of Ross’s life. Fans loved Julie’s style of clothing, simple yet feminine. It went with her white-collar professional vibe. Fans would love to get a chance to date, Julie, wouldn’t you?

3 Wouldn’t Date: Jill Green

Ah, the cunning Jill. Rachel’s cunning sister, whose father had cut her off. She was asked to go learn something from her sister, Rachel. And so she did come running to her sister. Despite being pampered and showered with love, Jill chose to hurt Rachel. How so? By enticing her Rachel’s ex-flame, Ross Geller.

Jill was lethargic, spoiled, and co-dependent. She basically lived off her father. She’d without a doubt do it to the man she was about to date. Obviously, this doesn’t refer to fulfilling basic necessities, but of buying a Pashmina, apartment pants and a boat for her friends. Thanks but no thanks, most fans don’t need any Jill trouble!

2 Would Date: Rachel Green

Men would kill over Rachel green. Fans know Chandler’s co-workers did. Rachel Green, the gal pal, was one of the nicest people in the group. The one who came with a learning curve. The one who started from zilch and evolved into a top executive at Ralph Lauren. The most remarkable thing about Rachel is how swiftly she managed her career and her single motherhood. She was a real catch. In the end, Ross and Rachel had to end up together, for they were each other’s lobsters.

Anyone into strong, independent women, who take challenges head-on, Rachel is the woman they’ve been dreaming about.

1 Wouldn’t Date: Cheryl

Usually, Ross and the most beautiful girl in the world Cheryl would make for a terrific couple. More so when this girl shares a geeky sense of humor and his profession. Cheryl is a paleontology doctoral candidate, specializing in the Cenozoic era. But she is unbelievably unhygienic.

If you care to be with someone who lives in a pile of garbage, go for the kill. You’d feel like her apartment is the end of the day, it’s the end of time, and garbage is all that has survived! Being at Cheryl’s was definitely an out of body experience for Ross. That’s a definite pass.
