Guild Wars 2 Everything To Do Before The End Of Dragons Expansion

With a new expansion on the way in Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons, there are plenty of things players can do to begin preparing themselves for its arrival. There are months to go before the expansion releases, but players have more than enough time to steadily build up their gold and resources through relatively low-effort methods. This will give them a head start on anything they want to do when End of Dragons launches.

The second beta for Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons, allowing players to try out the new Bladesworn, Catalyst, and Vindicator elite specializations is here. And while players are jumping back into the game to play the beta, many will just as quickly leave once it ends. Many Guild Wars 2 players are burned out on the game after its last few years and simply don’t feel like there’s any content left for them to play. But with the expansion quickly approaching, there are things players can be doing in the meantime to begin preparing for the release of Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons.

Setting up a low-effort revenue stream is a quick and easy thing for Guild Wars 2 players to do on a regular basis. The two most obvious areas to visit each day are Guild Halls and the personal home instance, which both offer players a consistent way to stockpile materials. Players can also position characters across the game to farm profitable areas which reset each day – like the large chests in Bjora Marches, the flax farm in Verdant Brink, and the chests in the Tomb of the Primeval Kings and Sanctum of Nabkha. Players can set up a daily rotation in these locations, which takes no more than ten minutes to complete, and will steadily build up a reserve of resources that can be used in End of Dragons for things like new legendary weapons or the possible addition of another secret Guild Wars 2 mount like Path of Fire’s griffon.

Guild Wars 2 Players Should Catch Up on Missed Content Before End of Dragons

As Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons approaches, Arena Net is running a return to Living World bonus event. Each week, an old Living World chapter is highlighted and players are given tasks covering all of the game’s content releases stretching back to before the first expansion, Heart of Thorns. This event offers players a great opportunity to play any content they may have missed over the years as various areas throughout the game become repopulated and is a great way for players to finish maximizing their masteries. All of this content is worth playing because it’s not incredibly demanding and players can earn extremely good rewards in the form of a 32-slot inventory bag, a precursor for the upcoming set of legendary weapons, and a legendary amulet.

The best part about these different tasks is that players don’t have to do them on a daily basis. Even if they’re just done a few times each week, those little influxes of resources will build over a long period of time. And when done in combination with the return to Living World, Fractals, Strikes, Raids, and meta events, players can stockpile a healthy amount of resources before Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons arrives in 2022.
