The series stars Esme Creed-Miles and Joel Kinnaman in those same roles, though Kinnaman was only featured in the show’s first season. Hanna was created by David Farr, who also wrote the 2011 film. The plot follows Hanna, who is being raised in seclusion by her father as he trains her to combat those who are hunting them. Following the reveal of a rogue CIA operative, Hanna and her father are separated, putting all she’s learned to the test.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Hanna’s third season, which is scheduled to hit Prime Video on November 24th, will be the show’s last. Hanna was renewed for a third season in July 2020, though there was no indication that it would be the final season. However, in a recent statement, the show’s creator said, “That was always the intention, to be honest.”

Given that the show’s third season is so close to release, audiences may have been concerned that the show may not receive a proper finale. However, Farr’s comment can put those fears to rest, as the show was meant to end, meaning the series finale should wrap everything up for the show. Season 3 has six episodes that will debut simultaneously on Prime Video. The season is said to pick up immediately following the events of season 2, seeing Hanna working to take down Utrax, a disreputable government organization. The new season will also feature Ray Liotta as Gordon Evans, a new foe set to complicate things for Hanna. Audiences will get to see how Hanna wraps up when the third season debuts later this month.
