Hanna The Main Characters Ranked By Bravery

Fans of the Amazon Prime series Hanna would definitely have wished for the saga to keep going. Unfortunately, events came to a conclusion with the release of the third season on Nov. 24, 2021. Nonetheless, there is the likelihood that the show might garner more admirers in the future thanks to its fascinating characters.

Since the CIA-backed Utrax program deals with the training of master assassins, most of the characters associated with it are brave. However, a few have proven to be a bit more daring than the rest. This is due to them having superior skills, better personalities, or more power, enabling them to be confident in their decision-making.

Teri Miller

As an Utrax analyst, Teri’s main job is to monitor the thoughts of the trainers and counsel them. She does this in a devious way as she has created fake profiles and backstories for them, making them think they have family members they can communicate with.

The nature of Teri’s work doesn’t call for any extreme acts of courage and that’s why she ranks low on the list. She is safe at her workstation and has rarely found herself in any sort of danger, even when there was a code red in the building. She is extremely obedient to her superiors too, a trait that suggests she is not courageous enough to speak up when she has a different opinion.

John Carmichael

The CIA operative is appointed the new the new director of Utrax at The Meadows after Marissa turns good. While at the helm, he is faced with the difficult task of stopping Hanna.

While John is calm and confident, he not only makes plenty of operational mistakes but doesn’t appear bold enough while trying to fix them. He carelessly displays a high-profile target list to whistleblower Robert Gelder at a bar, a development that almost brings the organization to its knees. He normally hesitates to engage in gunfights too. Moreover, he easily cowers and caves to Hanna’s demands when she blackmails him and forces him to give out the names of his partners.

Sandy Phillips (Trainee 242)

Sandy has accepted her fate and is very happy to be at The Meadows. She is also social and gladly adheres to her training regime so that she can be a super-assassin.

Sandy believes everything she has been told and is hesitant to question anything, even when Hanna comes up with overwhelming evidence proving that things aren’t as they seem. She is not only afraid to break rules but also scared of life on the outside. This is best demonstrated when she refuses to leave her cage when fellow trainees are offered the chance to escape.

Gordon Evans (The Chairman)

Gordon is introduced in the final season as the overarching villain and the brains behind the Pioneer Group. He also puppeteers all Utrax operatives.

Villains that operate in the shadows tend to be more lethal and Gordon is no exception. He isn’t nervous about anything, even when dealing with his daughter. He arm-twists her into working for him, not caring that such a move will create eternal animosity — he’s easily one of the worst TV dads in recent memory. He also bullies capable operatives and orders the death of children without caring about any blowback.

Jules Allen

Jules is Sandy’s close friend but she doesn’t share the same thoughts and beliefs as her. She is a bookworm who happens to have left-wing views. She is also certain that she wants to be an assassin despite knowing that Utrax is corrupt

Jules’ bravery is defined by moments when she sticks to the mission even when the odds are against her. When she and Hanna are sent to kill a journalist in London, the latter backs out but Jules goes on to complete the task. The London scene has been lauded as one of the things the Hanna TV show does better than the movie. Furthermore, Jules isn’t afraid to face against thought opponents either and has offered to go after Hanna too on one occasion.

Leo Garner

The Utrax employee’s job description is to ensure discipline and social integration among the trainees. He is completely loyal to the program too and rarely raises a hand in opposition.

Leo’s standout trait is his charming nature. He is composed at all times and whenever a trainee is feeling disgruntled, he approaches her without fear and finds a way to calm her down. He is firm in his decision-making too, never walking on eggshells or caring not to offend any of the future assassins.

Clara Mahan (Trainee 249)

Clara is initially content with going through with the program and becoming a spy like the rest of the trainees. When she learns that her biological mother is out there, her focus shifts and she dedicates her life to finding her.

There are many reasons why Hanna should have given up on Clara in Hanna. The trainee is portrayed as very stubborn. However, her courage cannot be put into question. She knows the risks when she decides to flee from the facility. She almost gets shot a couple of times but that doesn’t change her resolve. Her courage is boosted by thoughts of her mother and she never eases off on her resolve. While she’s on the outside, she still keeps leaping before looking as she moves into high-security locations to find clues

Marissa Wiegler

At first, the CIA operative is a dedicated senior member of the Utrax program. When Erik and Hanna flee, she sends as many agents as she can after them. But after discovering that Utrax is corrupt, she switches sides.

Being a turncoat in secret organizations such as Utrax might easily get a person killed but Marissa risks it all by assisting Hanna in locating Clara at The Meadows then paving ways for them to escape. And despite the fact that her father Gordon is powerful and ruthless, Marissa defies him and tries her best to bring him down.

Hanna Petrescu

Raised in the forest by her adoptive dad, Erik, Hanna has plenty of combat and survival skills impacted on her. When Erik dies, she returns to the Utrax facility to try and save indoctrinated trainees.

A combination of genetic enhancements by Utrax and strict training by Erik has made Hanna an unstoppable force. She has no second thoughts about infiltrating a CIA-backed organization in order to save girls that she believes are being brainwashed. Whenever she has had to face off against opponents, whether in the forest or in the streets, she has never backed down, therefore proving that her courage is unmatched.

Erik Heller

After falling in love with Johanna, Erik escapes from the Utrax facility in Romania with his lover and her daughter, Hanna. Johanna dies during a manhunt led by Marissa so Erik resorts to raising Hanna as his own.

Aiding two people to escape from a highly secure facility is a bold move and Erik deserves to be commended for successfully pulling this off. Johanna’s death is a sad moment and it’s one of the reasons fans hate Marissa in Hanna. Luckily, Erik and Hanna fare on just fine. That he lives in the forest with Hanna for years while watching out for any potential attacks is indeed impressive. As one of the world’s best assassins, Erk’s brain is wired not to fear even death and that’s why he welcomes his own demise.
