Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

To be clear, the most important duo that didn’t get enough screentime is Hannibal and its massive fanbase. The show was cut short long before its time, leaving fans salivating for many storylines they hoped to see expand and many relationships they hoped would expand. Still, in the precious time Hannibal did have on air it told only beautiful stories, with the friendships and intimacies of its characters at the core.

Here are some duos fans loved and were glad they got to see so fully and some they wish they could have had another taste of.

10 Loved: Will and Hannibal

Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

Will and Hannibal are the beating, bleeding heart of Hannibal and fans wouldn’t have it any other way. Throughout the three seasons Hannibal, fans got to watch with bated breath as this epic romance unfolded on a field of elaborate murder tableaux, poetic speeches, and a lot of feelings.

Hannibal and Will should have the lion’s share of the screen time because Hannibal is their great love story–and it is a beautiful one.

9 Needed More: Margot and Alana

Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

Margot and Alana are a fan-favorite couple. Fans adored their kaleidoscope sex scene is one for the ages and loved getting to see both bi and lesbian women represented on a network show… Especially in the tasteful and respectful way Hannibal offered such a relationship.

But despite their lovely scenes together, and the powerful way they were presented, it would have been incredible to get to see them together more and watch their relationship develop and grow.

8 Loved: Hannibal and Bedelia

Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

Hannibal and Bedelia are one fun duo. They dance a sensual dance and push boundaries in one another. While Bedelia is not the Will Graham of Hannibal’s life, she does get to peek behind the curtain.

In Season 3, they have a short-lived but spectacular life together for a time, and fans savor every bite of their sly dance.

7 Needed More: Will and Beverly

Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

Will and Bev had all the makings of a great friendship. They had the same dry sense of humor, they both seemed like they could kick back with a beer, and there was a sense of camaraderie between them early on in the show.

Alas, Bev fell victim to Hannibal’s knife, but had she lived, fans would have adored seeing her and Will grow closer.

6 Loved: Jack and Bella

Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

Jack and Bella have one of the more beautiful relationships in the show. Although fans meet them at a difficult time, their love for one another seeps out of all the edges.

In rare quiet scenes, the relationship humanizes Jack, gives him a sense of family and a sense of humor. Together, they are both fragile and strong, beautiful in their devotion and their tragedy.

5 Needed More: Zeller and Price

Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

Zeller and Price offer some much-needed levity and dare we say it, normalcy to the show… as normal as a duo comprising of one person who likes to talk about bee ejaculation can be anyway.

Their friendship and clear affection for one another is a joy to watch, especially in a world where so much deceit occurs, at best, and stabbing, at worst. Fans would have loved to see them on more occasions and dove deeper into what makes them tick.

4 Loved: Will and His Dogs

Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

Will and his dogs are one of the truest duos that exist on the show…even though it’s a duo that comprises of around 15 participants at any given time, it’s definitely one that has to be mentioned. Will’s dogs humanize him and give him a depth of character which appeals to the audience.

Through Will’s dogs, fans understand his compassion and his loneliness. A duo to root for.

3 Needed More: Molly and Will

Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

In Season 3, Will marries Molly. But though they are bonded in such a way, the show rarely features them together. In total, they only share a few scenes together before Hannibal destroys their relationship.

Though ultimately, Will and Hannibal are destined to be together, it would have been nice to see a bit more of Will’s relationship with Molly in order to better understand his state of mind at the time.

2 Loved: Francis and Reba

Hannibal 5 Best Duos (& 5 We Dont See Enough Of)

Francis and Reba was another doomed relationship that was equally tragic and beautiful. In Season 3, Francis was a major player on the show and got a lot of screentime.

Fans were really brought into the heart of this relationship, seeing the struggle on both ends, as each fought for the relationship that could not have succeeded. Although it went sour in the end, it was great to watch.

1 Needed More: Chiyoh and Hannibal

Chiyoh and Hannibal have one of the most mysterious relationships on the show. They both knew one another in youth and clearly have a relationship that shifts tumultuously from furious to affectionate.

In his final scene with her, Hannibal seems to be at his most warm, but, of course, that doesn’t mean much with Hannibal! It would be riveting to see more of these two together.
