Hulk is Getting Revenge On A Villain in the Most Horrific Way

Warning! Spoilers for Immortal Hulk #46 below!

The Immortal Hulk is back from the dead and he isn’t letting those who killed him off easy. In a new preview for The Immortal Hulk #46, the Jade Giant is back in the mortal plane and is making sure the U-Foes, who were last seen killing him, are taken down for their actions. In true Hulk form, Marvel Comics’ latest tease of the death of the U-Foes is especially gnarly.

In previous issues of Immortal Hulk, government agent Henry Gyrich used the Gamma Flight team to capture the Hulk, but the gamma monster eventually escaped. After the team quit on Gyrich due to his outbursts and ego, the acting commander calls on the U-Foes. The team is pretty much an evil version of the Fantastic Four, as they even gained powers trying to copy the accident which spawned Marvel’s First Family. In Immortal Hulk #44, the U-Foes successfully used their combined powers to kill the Hulk, leaving just a skeleton in his place. Hulk and Bruce Banner woke up in the Below-Place, desperate for a way out. After an assist from the Red Hulk, the Hulk broke free and his first act of order was to kill the U-Foes.

In a new preview for Immortal Hulk #46 (via CBR.com) by Al Ewing, Joe Bennett, and Alex Ross, the Hulk and the U-Foes battle begins. Ironclad, who’s made from and can manipulate metal, decides to be the first to face off against the freshly returned Hulk. Ironclad quickly discovers his opponent isn’t the same weak Hulk he helped kill, but instead is powered by the Red Hulk. Hulk crushes his metal hand, leaving Ironclad to scream in agony.

With a sinister smile on his face, Hulk tells Ironclad he’s curious if he’s made from “metal all the way through,” or if he’s got “squishy organs in a smooth shiny shell.” Hulk grabs onto his opponent’s face and began to dig his fingers in and pull his head apart. His fellow U-Foe teammates are seen screaming in horror as Hulk also consumes X-Ray’s radiation.

The U-Foes are likely to meet their end in the next chapter of the Immortal Hulk, as pissing off the longtime Avenger is never a good idea. But, back at full-strength (and then some), the Hulk is going to get horrifying revenge against the villains who thought it was possible to kill him. With Immortal Hulk concluding with issue #50, previews show the race to the finish line is going to be a deadly affair. Immortal Hulk #46 is in stores next week.
