King Of The Hill is a beloved animated adult series. There are a lot of lovable characters, and these are some of the best side characters.

It is quite clear that King of the Hill is one of the most underrated adult cartoons out there. Many viewers seem to be a bit hesitant to start it, but once they do, they often love it. This is due to the fact that the show does a wonderful job with its style of comedy. It is not too abrasive, but it instead focuses on its realism in this aspect. That is what truly allows this show to be so spectacular in the first place.
Yet, what is even more intriguing is the fact that it does a marvelous job with not only its main characters, but its side ones too. This is where the show displays the fact that it has spectacular depth to it, which results in it having great stories. It also helps that many of them are quite humorous and entertaining, as this allows the audience to resonate with them in the process.
It is time to shine more spotlight on them.
10 Leanne Platter
Leanne Platter is definitely a character that is easy to dislike. This is due to the fact that she essentially abandons Luanne because of her reckless behavior. When she returns, she seems like she is nice, but this soon takes a dark turn.
When she drinks, she becomes very violent and destructive. She also becomes both verbally and physically abusive to Bill when they date. She is an important character for the story, but she is just awful as a person.
9 Buck Strickland
It is hard to find anything admirable about Buck Strickland. He is definitely a hilarious character and offers a lot of comedy to the show, but his lack of morals makes him a character that is easy to dislike as a person.
However, even with him being so flawed, Hanks looks up to him because he is his boss. However, Buck is not very kind to the people around him and even is known for cheating on his wife.
8 John Redcorn
John Redcorn is definitely another side character that definitely warrants criticism. He definitely has some elements of his character that are good, but it is impossible to ignore the fact that he has a long affair with Nancy.
Given the fact that he and Dale spend a decent amount of time with each other, it is just immensely disrespectful on his end. Therefore, it is hard to like him entirely at the end of the day.
7 Dooley
Dooley is a very entertaining part of the series, as his deadpan humor is simply elite. This is what makes him so recognizable as Bobby’s classmate. However, he also is mean and a bully, so that does not help with his likability.
This is a side character that is awesome for the show but is still a jerk. Therefore, it is challenging to like him as the person he is, but that does not mean he is not quite humorous and still a fun addition to the show.
6 Clark
Like Dooley, Clark is another bully in the show. However, what gives him an ever so slight edge over Dooley is the fact that he has a hilarious voice and outstanding mullet. It simply is a groovy hairstyle.
However, the show’s most lovable character, Bobby, is the victim of Clark’s bullying. Therefore, he is not among the most likable side characters. Yet, even with this being so, he definitely is a character that meshes with the show swimmingly.
5 Principal Moss
Principal Moss is a bit of strait-laced character, which makes sense given what his profession is. However, he is not very open to change when it comes to the school, which definitely is a negative characteristic.
He also does seem to have a bit of a bad personal life, which becomes clear when he lives with Bill. Nothing about his character is particularly bad or evil, but the show also lacks any true scenes that show him as being sweet. Thus, he is just in the middle.
4 Octavio
Octavio is a hilarious character in the series, as he is very similar to Dale. This definitely makes him one of the most memorable side characters from the series, which is awesome because the show does not utilize him much until later on.
Although he has a bit of a tough guy persona, it is clear that it is all an act. He definitely is the type of character that is easy to like, even if he is not afraid to engage in borderline criminal activity.
3 Joe Jack
Joe Jack is Hank’s coworker, and it is always a treat when he is put on the screen. Perhaps the show displays this perfectly when Joe Jack is deeply entertained by Bobby playing the Wipeout theme with spatulas. His laugh in this is absolutely golden too.
However, what is most important is the fact that he seems to simply be a down to Earth and calm guy. He does not have many bad moments in the series at all, even if he is not necessarily the hardest of workers at times.
2 Enrique
Enrique is another coworker of Hank’s and is simply a very nice guy. He is very quiet at first but soon breaks out of his shell in later seasons. He also has great admiration for Hank and sees him as a marvelous worker.
Enrique is another character that just does not do anything wrong out of malice. He also is an example of a character who manages to be funny without even trying. Thus, it is impossible not to like this guy.
1 Lucky
Lucky is off to an amazing start in the series, as the late Tom Petty voices him. He is absolutely a very kind-hearted individual and is a marvelous partner to Luanne. He also works extremely hard to achieve the approval of the Hill family in the process.
He does have a bit of a flaw when it comes to money, but overall, he is simply a very nice character at the end of the day. It also is very refreshing having him on the show, as he breaks Luanne’s pattern of dating horrible men.
