Lizzo flaunted her Halloween spirit at a recent Spotify event in Los Angeles, wearing a hilarious Grogu (a.k.a. Baby Yoda) costume inspired by The Mandalorian while performing on-stage. Last August, the “Juice” singer announced a “new era” in her music career after releasing her single “Rumors” with rapper Cardi B. Since then, Lizzo performed at 2021’s Global Citizen Live, won a VMA for Song of the Summer, and even delivered a Ted Talk back in September.

While many fans might only associate Lizzo with music, she’s seemingly setting her sights on film and TV projects as well. Last month, it was revealed that the singer landed a guest role on Disney+’s Proud Family reboot. Other celebrity guest stars include fellow hip-hop/pop artist, Lil Nas X, and comedian Tiffany Haddish. Earlier this year, there were also calls for Lizzo to play Muse Thalia in a not-yet-confirmed live-action remake of Disney’s Hercules, which she responded to with great enthusiasm. But Lizzo might’ve just hinted at her dream TV show collaboration with her 2021 Halloween costume.

In a hilarious tweet, Lizzo showed off her Grogu-inspired look during her surprise performance at Spotify’s Ghost Town Halloween Party on October 29th. Her take on The Mandalorian character included his signature brown robes, green skin, and floppy ears, but Lizzo added some personal touches of her own. For a “Grogu’s wild night out” spin on his usual outfit, Lizzo paired the costume with sunglasses, a heart-shaped purse, and some Ugg boots while sipping on a cocktail. She captioned the images “Grogu aka Baby Yoda aka The Child has no recollection of these events.” Check out her full post below:

A representative from Grogu’s publicity team has issued a statement regarding the paparazzi photos taken last night: Grogu aka Baby Yoda aka The Child has no recollection of these events. I’m fact, these events never happened *jedi hand wave* pic.twitter.com/ssoAkPakkE

Lizzo might be happy to know that filming on The Mandalorian season 3 is underway, with star Carl Weathers having confirmed the news earlier this month. With The Mandalorian season 2 ending in December 2020, it’s safe to say that fans are more than ready for new episodes. Though The Mandalorian season 3 likely won’t arrive on Disney+ for another year or so, there’s still plenty of upcoming Star Wars content to look forward to. The Book of Boba Fett, which was teased in The Mandalorian’s season 2 finale, debuts in December 2021, with veteran Star Wars actors Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen headlining, as well as Obi-Wan Kenobi, which arrives in 2022.

Audiences might not see Pedro Pascal’s Mando on-screen for a while, but Lizzo’s incredible costume certainly brought Grogu to the streets. She went on to share more pictures of her posing with fans outside the event and shared a hilarious TikTok of her walking down Hollywood Boulevard to a remix of “Cantina Band.” Lizzo has always had an especially fun social media presence, but this might just be her best post yet. It seems like The Mandalorian might’ve just found its next big-time cast member, as Lizzo truly embodied the character during her Halloween night out.
