Mandalorian Punching Baby Yoda Added To Jason Sudeikis Wikipedia Page

Jason Sudeikis punching Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian season 1 finale is added to the actor’s Wikipedia page. The hit Star Wars series has prompted much buzz online as of late, with one of the biggest points of contention coming in The Mandalorian season finale.

It’s hard to say whether or not The Mandalorian would have been as well received as it was had it not been for the Baby Yoda character. The tiny green mystery arrived in the first episode of the series and remained a slight onscreen presence. Despite his all too brief episodic appearances, however, Baby Yoda (officially known as The Child) was by far the most talked about aspect of the series, with Star Wars fans absolutely delighted that what appeared to be a new version of the beloved Yoda character was back. Of course, we still don’t know exactly what Baby Yoda is and fans will likely have to wait until The Mandalorian season 2 premieres Fall 2020 in order to find out. For now, the internet will remain abuzz with no shortage of theories on the character. However, while talk of Baby Yoda has mainly been restricted to attempting to figure out who or what he is, recently the talk turned to something a little different.

During the season finale of The Mandalorian, comedian Jason Sudeikis – who is known for roles in both Horrible Bosses films, as well as last year’s Booksmart – appeared as a bike scout trooper. The villainous role in The Mandalorian season 1 finale not only meant that Sudeikis was responsible for having kidnapped Baby Yoda, but also that he (along with his fellow stormtrooper cohort) punched the adorable creature more than once. Ultimately, both Sudeikis’ trooper as well as his partner paid dearly for their blatant disrespect, but that didn’t stop Star Wars fans everywhere from being shocked by what had transpired. In fact, so monumental was the moment that it has already been immortalized on Sudeikis’ Wikipedia page. You can check out the new entry below:

The incident has certainly been one of the more memorable ones in the highly praised season finale. Even the critically acclaimed comedy troupe, Second City (of which Sudeikis is an alum) recently responded to the Baby Yoda bullying with a tongue in cheek tweet. As is to be expected with Baby Yoda, the punching gave instantaneous life to an untold number of memes, even causing the comedian and his dastardly deed to trend on Twitter. But it wasn’t all negative press for Sudeikis and his stormtrooper co-star Adam Pally. Some fans took to social media to deliver praise for the comedic turn that was the two as inept Imperial soldiers and some even stated that the duo’s performance was better than all of The Rise of Skywalker.

Still, if this most recent Baby Yoda incident has done anything for certain, it’s to further prove how much of a hit character Disney has come up with. The future for Baby Yoda may be uncertain, but based on what fans have seen so far, the character has enough power and skill to hint at a significant ability to wield the Force. If it isn’t the Force that Baby Yoda has been using on and off throughout the first season of The Mandalorian, however, then fans are in for even more surprises. Regardless, the numerous mysteries surrounding the character are sure to provide many more not-to-be-missed moments in the upcoming second season.
