Marvel Just Recreated Epic Avengers Endgame Moment With Juggernaut

Warning! Spoilers for Savage Avengers #26 by Marvel Comics

Marvel’s Juggernaut just joined the fight to prevent a Marvel supervillain from becoming the most powerful being in the universe and got his own epic Avengers: Endgame moment in the process. In Savage Avengers #26 from Marvel Comics, Cain Marko is among the heroes and villains Kang the Conqueror summons from a portal to stop Kulan Gath before it’s too late. The scene is very similar to Doctor Strange opening up portals in Avengers: Endgame during the film’s final battle against Thanos.

In the current Savage Avengers ongoing series at Marvel Comics, the evil sorcerer Kulan Gath has killed the Avengers and became the ruler of a dark Marvel future. One of the few heroes left alive, Conan the Barbarian turned to Kang to form an alliance and stop Gath from becoming the ultimate conqueror. Unfortunately, despite using the Amulet of Power and some of the greatest weapons in the universe, Conan was brutally murdered. Now, it’s up to Kang to travel back in time and stop Kulan Gath – with some help, of course.

In Savage Avengers #26 by Gerry Duggan, Patch Zircher, Javier Tartaglia, and VC’s Travis Lanham, Kang the Conqueror is the last man standing after Kulan Gath ripped the heart out of Conan. Through time-travel shenanigans, both Kulan Gath and Kang end up back in the present day. Alongside the Savage Avengers, Kang and his powerful allies attack the magical villain, delivering some mighty blows against him. After Conan rips Gath’s jaw off and Kang shoots off one of his hands, the sorcerer rebuilds his body mid-battle. As Kulan Gath is about to kill Kang and the Savage Avengers, Doctor Strange casts a spell, opening up a portal that reveals Kang assembled his own army, including Juggernaut, Black Knight, and Magik.

The Juggernaut immediately charges at Kulan Gath and sends him barrelling towards a tree. After Doctor Strange reveals the dagger that killed Shuma-Gorath, Magik ends up stabbing Gath in the heart. However, instead of immediate death, Gath tells the Savage Avengers he’ll be sending from their plane of existence and will be “taking every life on the planet” with him.

While Gath’s attack isn’t over, seeing Doctor Strange open up portals to call in reinforcements feels like a scene ripped out of the final battle of Avengers: Endgame, where the Sorcerer Supreme summoned his great allies to take on Thanos after they were unnapped. Only in this case, Juggernaut emerged from the portal in full stride, using his massive strength to send the villain flying. But, unfortunately, Juggernaut and the other’s arrival wasn’t enough to stop the villain yet. Savage Avengers #26 is in comic book stores now.
