Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy goes full action-hero alongside the stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an action-packed Nissan ad.

The ad, titled “Thrill Driver” and set to air during Super Bowl LVI on Feb. 13, turns Levy into an action hero alongside Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson, Black Panther’s Danai Gurira and Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista. Also appearing in a brief cameo is Catherine O’Hara, who portrayed Moira Rose opposite Levy’s Johnny Rose for all six seasons of Schitt’s Creek. “It’s not often something like this gets presented to you, where you have a body of work that you’re known for, but they’re actually trying to make you into something you never thought you would be, which is an action hero,” Levy told The Hollywood Reporter about the ad.

Larson, Gurira and Bautista are all slated to appear in the next installments of their respective Marvel Studios’ franchises. Larson will reprise her role as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in the upcoming sequel to her 2019 film, The Marvels, which will introduce MCU newcomer Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. Larson will also star alongside WandaVision’s Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, as well as actor Zawe Ashton, who will portray the film’s currently unnamed antagonist. Prior to the Captain Marvel sequel, Larson returned to voice as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel for Marvel’s animated anthology series What If…? on Disney+. The Marvels hits theaters on Feb. 17, 2023.

As for Gurira, she will reprise her role as Okoye in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Okoye was introduced in 2018’s Black Panther as the leader of the Dora Milaje, the all-female royal guard of the kingdom of Wakanda, made up of the nation’s most skilled and loyal warriors. Gurira also appeared as Okoye in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and voiced the character in an episode of What If…? on Disney+ as well. Wakanda Forever serves as a sequel to Black Panther, which starred the late Chadwick Boseman as King T’Challa/Black Panther, the plot for which was restructured following his death in 2020. Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters Nov. 11, 2022.

While it is likely that Guirira and Larson will continue to appear in future Marvel Studios projects, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will mark Bautista’s last appearance as Drax the Destroyer in the MCU. The actor first appeared as Drax in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, reprising the role for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. He will appear in two more MCU films, the first being Thor: Love and Thunder, directed by Taika Waititi and set to premiere May 6, 2022, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, written and directed by James Gunn, which is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2023.

However, as exhibited in the Nissan ad, Bautista has made a name for himself as an action star, appearing in films like Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune and the upcoming Knives Out 2.
