Expanding the game’s already amazing arsenal of costumes, a fan edit adds another Spider-Man: No Way Home suit to Marvel’s Spider-Man. Insomniac’s open-world web-slinging adventure is a fully interactive superhero story, delivering both fast-paced gameplay and an emotional story analyzing Peter Parker’s double life. Two new suits inspired by Spider-Man: No Way Home were recently added to Marvel’s Spider-Man ahead of the blockbuster film’s release on December 17.

While 28 alternate outfits were included in Marvel’s Spider-Man upon release, developer Insomniac did not stop there. Through the three-part post-launch expansion The City That Never Sleeps, nine additional costumes were brought to the game such as the iconic Iron Spider and a shiny new Spider-Armor. Then, eight more costumes were added to the original PlayStation 4 version of the game for free, including highly-requested fan favorites like the live-action suits worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Capping off this post-launch support, two suits from the recently-released Spider-Man: No Way Home were added to the game’s PlayStation 5 remaster on December 10. While there was some backlash regarding Marvel’s Spider-Man’s new PS5 suits, with PS4 versions of the game not receiving them, many fans are extremely impressed by Insomniac’s commitment to supporting the now three-year-old game.

Pushing the game’s line-up of wall-crawling cosmetics even further, Twitter user Kdog_Digital has edited another suit from Spider-Man: No Way Home into Marvel’s Spider-Man. While the film’s Black and Gold Suit and Hybrid Suit were officially added by Insomniac, the talented conceptual artist has introduced the suit seen at the very end of the blockbuster film. Personally sewn by Peter Parker himself and clearly inspired by his fellow cinematic Spider-Men, the costume aligns closely to classic interpretations of the character. However, a distinctly unique chest emblem sets this suit apart from the other traditional suits featured in Marvel’s Spider-Man.

While Spider-Man: No Way Home has inspired suits in Marvel’s Spider-Man, both officially and through fan edits, the 2018 game also helped inspire the character’s recent live-action adventure. Spidey star Tom Holland reportedly loved Insomniac’s open-world game, and Marvel’s Spider-Man inspired No Way Home with one of the web-slinging superhero’s acrobatic moves. In a recent interview, Holland explained that one of the takedowns in the game was directly translated into one of the movie’s fight scenes, and some of the darker aspects of Marvel’s Spider-Man story may have also potentially influenced some of No Way Home’s most dramatic moments.

By adding additional PS4 Spider-Man suits through free-post-launch updates, Insomniac has gone the extra mile to ensure that Marvel’s Spider-Man is the definitive adaptation of the friendly neighborhood hero. However, Kdog_Digital beat the developer to the punch by quickly editing a version of No Way Home’s elusive final suit into the game. While it is possible that the costume will be added in the future, or will make its way into 2023’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, for now, fans can imagine the suit’s addition through the expert edit.
