The hit Marvel Cinematic Universe show Hawkeye premiered on Disney+ this year and has been filled with shocking twists and turns as well as little details and easter eggs for fans of all sorts.

A detail included in the show that the audience would love to see in real life would be the creation of Rogers: The Musical, a broadway musical telling of the life of Steve Rogers. Although it didn’t prove to be a hit with Clint and the rest of the Barton clan, many fans have loved watching the elaborate dance numbers and badly-written songs. However, there has been one other thing that fans have begun debating. If the musical was to actually appear on Broadway, what could the cast look like?

10 Steve Rogers – Jonathan Groff

The leading man of this musical needs to be a charismatic leader with a kind heart and a strong voice, and Jonathan Groff has all of those characteristics. Best known for his roles as King George III in the musical Hamilton and Kristoff in the Frozen films, Groff has proven his ability as a principal role such as Steve Rogers that the crowds adore.

The similarities between the Rogers: The Musical and Hamilton’s logo suggest that these shows are somewhat alike, meaning Groff would be right at home in a show like this.

9 Tony Stark – Lin-Manuel Miranda

Lin-Manuel Miranda is a name known by many as the creator and star of both Hamilton and the original stage production of In The Heights. His Broadway credits are enough to prove he could excel in a real life Rogers: The Musical.

His role as Alexander Hamilton demonstrates that he could easily play a creative genius with several enemies well, while potentially even writing some of the music for it. In addition, Miranda has already shown the world that he can rock a goatee similar to Tony Stark’s through his role in Hamilton.

8 Natasha Romanoff – Emily Blunt

MCU Fan Wishlist For The Cast Of A Real “Rogers The Musical”

As one of the most powerful Avengers, Black Widow needs to be portrayed by a fierce female that can also carry a tune. Emily Blunt’s role in A Quiet Place and its sequel highlights how strong and independent Blunt can be, while her roles in musical movies Into the Woods and Mary Poppins Returns showcase her vocal capabilities.

Blunt was also one of the top contenders to play Natasha Romanoff when she first appeared in Iron Man 2, so that only further displays she’d be able to take on this role perfectly.

7 Thor Odinson – Luke Evans

The God of Thunder has big shoes to fill, and Luke Evans’ strong physique and vocal abilities have the potential to fill those shoes. His portrayal of Gaston in Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast demonstrates that he can play a heartthrob with excellent comedic timing.

Though Gaston isn’t necessarily as generous or kindhearted as Thor, Evans’ extensive acting credits highlight his range as a performer. All one would have to do is fit Evans for a blonde wig, and he would be more than worthy to be a part of a Rogers: The Musical ensemble.

6 Bruce Banner – Ben Platt

MCU Fan Wishlist For The Cast Of A Real “Rogers The Musical”

Best known for his role as Benji in the Pitch Perfect movies and as Evan Hansen in both the stage and film production of Dear Evan Hansen, Ben Platt would be a wonderful Bruce Banner.

He can sing unlike any other and has shown time and time again that he knows how to convey an almost awkward personality type through his previous roles that Bruce exudes. The leap from a geeky teenager to a nerdy scientist would be absolutely no problem for Platt and would be a spectacle to see.

5 Clint Barton – Chris Pine

MCU Fan Wishlist For The Cast Of A Real “Rogers The Musical”

Casting for Clint Barton in Rogers: The Musical needs to be focused on finding someone who could be skilled both in battle and the choir, and Chris Pine fits the bill.

His time as Captain Kirk in the latest Star Trek movies displays how well he can fight in action, while his vocal performances in Into the Woods and on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack show that Pine knows how to carry a tune. These combined talents of Pine’s are more than enough to allow him to shine as the world’s famous archer.

4 Loki Laufeyson – Taron Egerton

MCU Fan Wishlist For The Cast Of A Real “Rogers The Musical”

Taron Egerton would be a great choice to play Thor’s mischievous brother Loki in this Broadway production. His work on the musical movie Sing and Rocketman show off his range as a singer while his work in the Kingsman movies shows that he has no issue playing a character with a knack for trouble.

His English accent only adds another layer of charisma to the God of Mischief, similar to Tom Hiddleston’s original cadence, that audiences may hate to love.

3 Scott Lang – Seth McFarlane

Though Clint was quick to point out that Ant-Man wasn’t actually at the Battle of New York in 2012, this character is included early on in Rogers: The Musical.

Seth McFarlane could easily play Scott Lang as McFarlane is a hilarious comedian, as seen through his continuous work on the television shows Family Guy and American Dad!, (which would capture Scott’s sense of humor very well). McFarlane has also demonstrated the extent of his vocal capability through his role as Mike the mouse in the Sing franchise.

2 Bucky Barnes – Mike Faist

MCU Fan Wishlist For The Cast Of A Real “Rogers The Musical”

While Hawkeye hasn’t given audiences a look at Bucky Barnes in the Rogers: The Musical, it is safe to assume that he is included in the show as a life-long friend of Steve Rogers. As someone who has played the long-haired loner type, Connor Murphy in the stage production of Dear Evan Hansen, Mike Faist would do a wonderful job portraying the Winter Soldier.

His role in Dear Evan Hansen highlights his vocal skill as well and his most recent role as Riff in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story only allows him to shine even further.

1 Sam Wilson – Leslie Odom Jr.

Similar to Bucky, it is never explicitly shown whether or not Sam Wilson is included in Rogers: The Musical, but it is another safe to assume he makes an appearance as he played a large role in the second half of Steve’s life.

Leslie Odom Jr., the Aaron Burr from the musical Hamilton, would be an excellent fit for an on-stage version of the Falcon. Sam has an overall soothing and reassuring presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that Odom’s smooth voice could deliver on as well.
