Minecraft End Cities Reimagined In Massive Player Build

The familiar look of Minecraft’s End city structures has been masterfully revamped in a sprawling player build, and developer Mojang may want to note. Interestingly, one of the latest Minecraft community discoveries has proven that the game’s End biome has more to it than meets the eye.

According to a recent fan theory, Minecraft’s end crystal has an easter egg inscribed on its facets. Apparently, the end crystal’s six runes are actually letters of the alphabet, which can be combined to form the word “Mojang.” This bold assumption sounds quite credible, especially when considering that the letter-rune “O” is strongly reminiscent of the studio’s old logo. While some players are still discovering new things about Minecraft’s End, one player has taken it into their own hands to reimagine what its most interesting feature could be at its best.

Sharing their work on Reddit’s Minecraft community, user LucyStarshine posted images of their End city-inspired build, which was manually transformed into a sprawling dark fantasy kingdom. According to the player, they wanted to give Minecraft’s End biome and its randomly generated End city structures a bit of life by adding many fine details, building them into an entire castle, and more. However, End cities’ recognizable branching room layout apparently remains mostly intact. A lot of other objects have been added, including a unique Ender Eye tower, which, according to LucyStarshine, was inspired by The Lord of the Rings’ Sauron. Even the Ender Dragon (Minecraft’s final boss) is included in the build as an intricately carved sculpture, while a similarly hovering airship has been designed with an End city-esque style.

The mystical atmosphere of Minecraft’s End realm quite often inspires players to create unique designs in their projects. Another recent community example is a stunningly detailed Ender Dragon hide carpet, which could really tie any in-game room together. The rug is cleverly assembled and is absolutely massive, indicative of the creature’s initial enormous size. To give the custom piece of the interior a sense of volume, its creator used a combination of various blocks and differently colored carpets.

This player-built End city remake vividly shows how simple and even outdated basic Minecraft structures can seem when compared to unique custom builds. The game probably needs a revamped generation system, which will include some intricately designed objects. Thankfully, that’s something that Mojang is clearly interested in tackling when it comes to caves and mountains in a future update, while the first half of the Caves & Cliffs Update is coming June 8.
