My Hero Academia vs The Teen Titans Which Team Would Win in a Fight

When it comes to teen super teams, My Hero Academia’s Class 1-A and DC Comic’s Teen Titans are two of the most recognizable groups in their respective universes. But if the two could ever meet, which team would come out on top in a hypothetical battle to the last hero standing?

A popular manga and anime series, My Hero Academia, by Kohei Horikoshi, follows a young group of heroes collectively called Class 1-A, while DC Comics’ New Teen Titans, by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, follows a pioneer team of teen heroes sans adult supervision. Over the years, both teams have successfully protected their respective cities to the best of their unique abilities, and taken down villains that no one else could. But before the teen beatdown can begin, taking a look at each side in more detail is an absolute must.

Consisting of twenty students of varying backgrounds and power sets, My Hero’s Class 1-A is a star group of academy teens that are far more capable than their age lets on. Full of overpowered players like Shoto Todoroki and his flame/freeze powers, Bakugo and his insanely powerful explosion technique, Izuku Midoriya and his almighty One For All quirk, and more, Class 1-A is stacked with quirk users whose abilities are so unique and useful that villains are often hard-pressed finding ways to combat all of them. Furthermore, Class 1-A’s teamwork skills have come a long way now that their Joint Training Battles have been completed, giving them a better advantage than most on the battlefield.

Not to be outdone, the most popular iteration of the Teen Titans made famous by the acclaimed 1980-1990s New Teen Titans run, rostered Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy/Changeling, as well as a few more members that were added over the years like the infamous Terra, Deathstroke’s son, Jericho, or Dick Grayson’s second hero identity of Nightwing. This version of the team is usually seen as a well-oiled machine that consists of powerhouse members, tactical heroes, and uniquely powered teens alike that have successfully defeated demons, assassins, superpowers villains, and more, all without their mentors’ help.

But only one can claim victory as the dust settles, and although it would be a hard-fought battle all around, Class 1-A would undoubtedly take the win. Besides the obvious fact that 1-A has the sheer numbers to overwhelm even the largest version of this Teen Titan team, their wildly unique quirks would be hard to counter given the Titans’ own power sets. And while it’s a no-brainer that the heroes on the Teen Titans would take down more than one student a piece before eventually falling, even the most powerful members on the team — like Starfire, Wonder Girl, Raven, and even Cyborg — would be worn down by 1-A’s constant onslaught of comparable quirk users like Fumikage Tokoyami and his Dark Shadow technique, or even Deku and his newly inherited (and recently discovered) legacy quirk abilities. To make matters worse, Kid Flash could technically be incapacitated by one of the silliest and most cowardly students in class — the pervy and diminutive Mineta — with a couple of well-placed sticky balls of his, effectively taking out the Titan’s best chance at pulling off a decisive win.

So while DC Comics’ Teen Titans might have squeaked out a win helped along by their stellar teamwork skills and vast superhero experiences in a normal fight, there’s no way they could take out all twenty members of Class 1-A if they were ever pitted against one another on the field of battle. But regardless of the winner, the Teen Titans would no doubt give My Hero Academia’s young heroes a tough go of it, earning Class 1-A’s respect in the process, and vice versa.
