The Pitch Perfect cast has assembled for a virtual reunion set to Beyoncé, and it’s all for a good cause. Back in 2012, Pitch Perfect became the very definition of a sleeper hit. It centers on the Barden Bellas, a collegiate acappella group long past their prime that now aim to return to their former glory. While leader Aubrey (Anna Camp) wants to keep things the same, newcomer Beca (Anna Kendrick) has some new ideas that collide with Aubrey’s carefully made plans. Pitch Perfect had a budget of only $17 million, which made it a huge success when it went on to gross over $115 million worldwide.

Pitch Perfect 2 was then released in 2015 and reached even greater heights than the first film, earning over $287 million worldwide. Two years later, Pitch Perfect 3 came along to round out the trilogy, though it arrived to mixed reviews and a final box office total that was smaller than Pitch Perfect 2 (but still more than the original film). Pitch Perfect 3 effectively rounded out the franchise, but there was brief speculation in 2018 that a fourth film could be in the works. However, that proved to be untrue, and the Bellas have remained separate until now.

Nearly all of the Bellas reunited to perform Beyoncé’s “Love on Top” in order to raise money for UNICEF. The official video, shared by Universal Pictures, begins with an opening from Pitch Perfect’s acappella commentators John Smith (John Michael Higgins) and Gail Abernathy-McKadden-Feinberger (Elizabeth Banks) before launching into the Bellas’ song. Fans will note that the only missing Bella is Ester Dean; aside from her, the rest of the beloved cast has returned. You can watch the video down in the space below.

As the message at the end of the video reveals, all net profits from the sales and streams of the Bellas’ “Love on Top” (which is also available on Spotify) will go directly to UNICEF to help the children of Lebanon following a catastrophic explosion, as well as those impacted by COVID-19. Fans also have the option to donate directly to UNICEF. The past few months have seen several examples of celebrities coming together in fun ways to help out during this ongoing crisis, and the Pitch Perfect ladies are the latest to join in.

The Pitch Perfect franchise has always been known for its heartwarming stories of friendship, as well as its infectious soundtracks. While it’s not quite the same as seeing them in an actual movie, it’s still very refreshing to see the Barden Bellas back together again. That it’s also for a good cause just makes it all the better. Plus, this video showcases some of the singers who might’ve been relegated to the background in the Pitch Perfect movies, like Kelley Jakle, who took over the high notes from Kendrick. The Bellas might only be back for a short period of time, but it’s still a delight to see them.
