A new Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl trailer has revealed the new Ramanas Park location, which contains several catchable Legendary Pokémon. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, a generation that added a staggering fourteen Legendary and Mythical Pokémon to the series.

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl had Dialga and Palkia for its cover mascots, while Pokémon Platinum used Giratina. The Gen IV games added Heatran, Cresselia, Manaphy, Phione, Darkrai, Shaymin, Regigigas, and Lake Guardians Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. This is to say nothing of all of the Legendary and Mythical Pokémon that were introduced in Gen I-III, making the Sinnoh region games among the first where players began to note the bloated number of these so-called mysterious Pokémon. Diamond and Pearl’s most important addition to Pokémon lore was the introduction of Arceus, as it’s said to be the creator deity of the Pokémon world. Arceus will soon be the cover mascot for its own game when Pokémon Legends: Arceus releases in January.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will keep several Legendary Pokémon from the series contained to one area not found in the original releases. A trailer on The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel has revealed a new Sinnoh region called Ramanas Park. There, players will be able to encounter Legendary Pokémon, including Mewtwo and Rayquaza. The player will need to find Slates in order to trigger some of these encounters. Some of the Legendary Pokémon are exclusive to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, with Ho-Oh and the Legendary Beasts appearing only in Brilliant Diamond and Lugia and the Legendary Birds appearing in Shining Pearl.

It was also revealed that save data from other Nintendo Switch Pokémon games will allow players to acquire Mythical Pokémon. Mew can be claimed if using save data from one of the Pokémon Let’s Go games, while a Jirachi encounter can be triggered for players with Pokémon Sword and Shield save data.

The existence of Ramanas Park was revealed in the recent Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl leaks, but it wasn’t accessible at the time. The latest trailer has finally revealed the purpose of the location, and it will likely become active when the games’ day-one patch goes live. The Pokémon Company has given away many Legendary and Mythical Pokémon during online events over the years, so it makes that these creatures will be relatively easy to acquire in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as they aren’t as scarce as they used to be.
