She has gone from money exchanger on the streets to drug mule to negotiator and now the boss. She’s had one heck of a ride up the ladder since fleeing Mexico and it’s bound to get interesting next season.

Somehow, James finds Teresa right in her moment of need. Teresa is of course stunned as she figured she was off the grid, especially from James and Camila. James and Teresa engage in a high-speed chase and shootout through Malta. Once safe, Teresa wants answers. And just like that, James was brought back into the circle.

Camila is set to open an orphanage in Mexico. Cortez and Jimenez are plotting their own moves but still must deal with Camila. Cortez is just buying his time as he has plans for Camila. James is having a flashback to what he calls a terrible episode in his life.

Isabela and Cortez share a nice moment after the maid tried to kill him because he didn’t treat them the same way Camila did. Camila goes back to Cortez but Teresa put a tracking device in her bracelet just in case she can’t be trusted. The hunt for Cortez is on.

Well, thanks to James betraying Teresa again, they’re found. What ensues is a gunfight in which Teresa tells Pote to take Kelly Ann and Tony somewhere safe.

Teresa, being soft on James as usual, lets her guard down and allowed James to show her why Camila trusts him so much. He places a tracking device in Tony’s game. Teresa was willing to die to make sure her people were safe. They won the battle, but the war was just starting.

A new threat is on the horizon for the cartel named Cheo. El Gordo wants Teresa to have him murdered. They miss the first chance but another opportunity arises which means someone has to go into the prison and do it. Javier agrees knowing he will not return

His death was no fluke but the bomb wasn’t meant for him. We think we know who ordered the hit, it was just up to Teresa to figure it out herself.

On the other side, Marcel is out for blood. El Gordo proved he meant business when he killed Marcel’s men. With Teresa backing him, they managed to get El Gordo alone and Marcell ended his life with one shot.

Teresa is not the little scared woman she was at the beginning of the series. Pote still has orders but you could see the respect he has for her. Camila is playing all this all to close to the vest with Teresa and Epifanio. However, no matter how this all plays out, she does have the notebook.

Teresa is out for blood and it doesn’t matter who’s on the receiving end of her wrath. Someone killed Tony and there will be bloodshed in the streets of New Orleans or wherever the killer may be. The first order of business is to find out who did it and why. She thought it was Elias which led her to fly to Miami with her men and she even called her trusted soldier George to meet them there.

With everyone geared up for war, it was nice to see George and Boaz together holding down the fort while they were outnumbered. When the dust settled, it was Teresa who was left to become the Queen of Miami. However, she needed someone to run it and decided to give it to Boaz. Now she was off to New Orleans to confront the real killer.

A soldier is just a solider and nine times out of ten, they will die a solider’s death. But for Javier, he had nothing to live for and that made him the most dangerous soldier of all Teresa’s men. When the truth came out that he killed Rene, Teresa agreed to turn him over to the Judge. What happened next just may be the best scene ever for Queen of the South.

Randall set the car on fire that Javier was tied up in and in a moment of letting his guard down, Javier grabbed Randall just as the car was exploding. He got his revenge for Emila and made things right with Teresa. Two glaring issues, the Judge is still alive and James shows back up.
