RHOBH Kyle Richards Hopeful’ Kathy Hilton Will Return For Season 12

Kyle Richards is “hopeful” her older sister Kathy Hilton will return for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12. Viewers officially met Kathy as a cast member of the Bravo series during season 11 when she joined as a “friend of.” Even though Kathy was skeptical about coming onto the show, she was the break-out star of the season. Erika Jayne may have been at the center of the drama, but viewers couldn’t stop talking about Kathy.

There were multiple instances throughout the season where Kathy would make a throwaway comment that has since become an infamous RHOBH line. Besides Kathy’s hilarious personality, she also brought wealth and glamour. Nothing was more fascinating than her dinner party that included a caviar pie with a butler serving them their every meal. Kyle isn’t the only one hopeful for Kathy’s return.

While walking the red carpet at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards on December 7, Kyle, who will appear on Paris In Love, told Access she’s hoping her older sister will be returning for season 12. “I think she will. Right now, she’s been busy with Paris [Hilton’s] wedding, and they were also filming that,” the 52-year-old admitted to the entertainment news site (via People). “So, there’s a lot going on. But I think that that will happen. I’m pretty sure. I’m hopeful.” If Kathy does return, she will be reprising her role as a “friend of” and will not be promoted to the full-time cast. Kyle’s fellow RHOBH castmates Crystal Kung-Minkoff, who joined the series along with Kathy, also revealed that she’s hopeful the 62-year-old will be making her return to the reality series.

Production for RHOBH season 12 began while the season 11 reunion was airing in October. However, it seems as though Kathy hasn’t been spotted filming with any of the ladies. Kathy didn’t attend the opening of Kyle’s new Palm Springs boutique, Kyle X Shahida, in early November or Sutton Stracke’s party at her newly renovated Bel Air home. Kathy was unable to attend these events as she was too busy getting ready for her daughter Paris Hilton’s wedding. Paris said “I do” to her fiancée Carter Reum on November 11 at a Bel Air estate formerly owned by her grandfather, Barron Hilton. However, Paris’ wedding was a three-day extravaganza, with one of the weddings taking place on the Santa Monica pier.

Now that the wedding is over, Kathy will likely begin filming with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies soon. In fact, fellow costar Garcelle Beauvais shared a snap of herself and Kathy at The Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment breakfast earlier this week. While it may have been nothing more than a friendly run-in, it seems as though Kathy is back with her Beverly Hills ladies.
