Kelly Dodd from The Real Housewives of Orange County broke her silence after it was revealed she had been dropped as an ambassador for Positive Beverage. The company was known by fans of the Bravo reality series when Kelly spoke about the new business venture at the beginning of season 15.

Since Kelly is known for being uncensored, she is often getting in trouble for things that she says. When the coronavirus first became a pandemic in late March 2020, Kelly took to social media where she claimed the virus was “God’s way of thinning the herd,” which was not taken lightly by fans of RHOC or her boss, Andy Cohen. She later shared photos of herself to Instagram wearing a cap that read “Drunk Wives Matter” on the front, shortly after the death of George Floyd and the uprise in the Black Lives Matter movement. Even though Kelly has been praised for her lack of a filter, the comments she makes are starting to become hateful.

On Sunday, Positive Beverage used Instagram to reveal that Kelly will no longer be affiliated with the company any longer. Shortly after the announcement was made, the reality star took to her Twitter Account to confirm the news while also revealing she has other ventures up her sleeve. “I’m glad I could help put Positive Beverage on the map and wish them well,” the 45-year-old began her tweet. “I’m also really excited about my next venture in the beauty industry, which is my real passion. Stay tuned!” The CEO of Positive Beverage, Zach Muchnick, confirmed to Us Weekly that they no longer want to be associated with the Arizona native. After seeing Kelly’s opinions on the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and people in general, Muchnick no longer felt comfortable having her as the face of their company.

Her current social media presence left the CEO feeling Kelly’s value did not line up with theirs. “Unfortunately, these values weren’t aligned with our tone and priorities of inclusion, diversity, wellness and health within every pillar of daily life,” Muchnick told the publication. “We made the decision today to formally sever ties with her endorsement and likeness with our brand, so that we can continue our charge to spread good vibes and healthy hydration to everyone!” The disassociation was announced shortly after Kelly shared several Instagram Stories of her and her friends dining in California, while wearing no masks and mocking the restrictions the state had put in place in order to stop the spread of the virus. In one video Kelly shouts “Cheers!” while a friend yells out “to superspreaders.” In another video, Kelly tried to defend herself by explaining she is “not a super-spreader because there’s nothing to spread,” while also revealing she and her friends were all vaccinated.

Seeing as Kelly is one of the most controversial stars from the Housewives franchise, it is in the best interest of the company to distance themselves away from her. Kelly does not stand for the same values as Positive Beverage and they can no longer support someone who does not prioritize diversity and the well-being of others.
