RHOC Tamra Judge Reveals She Will Not Return To Show Next Season

Tamra Judge says she will not return to The Real Housewives Of Orange County season 16. After a year of low ratings, fans were excited about the possibility of seeing Tamra back on the show, and she seemed to tease the idea in several posts on social media. Viewers are still anxiously awaiting her appearance in a spin-off series, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2, which was filmed in Turks and Caicos this year.

One detail that made fans believe Tamra might return to RHOC was the fact that she speculated on how she would film if this were a reality. Tamra expressed in September that, should producers ask her to return to the show, she would like to film with her ex-husband, Simon Barney. Simon and Tamra recently ended a publicized feud that began during their divorce in 2011. The exes are now friends again, and Tamra said she wished to film with Simon in order to show the side of him that viewers couldn’t see in the earlier seasons. Comments like these led viewers to assume Tamra was considering re-entering the cast.

But Tamra just expressed in a Q&A session on Instagram that she will not be returning to RHOC next season. A fan mentioned how excited they were to see her again on the show, to which the alum responded, “Sorry, not happening!” She then went on to explain that she will be “concentrating on the future not the past.”

Fans also assumed Tamra would return because Bravo recently announced that RHOC alum Heather Dubrow would be returning for season 16 after revealing the firing of Kelly Dodd, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas. Many viewers are wondering how the new cast will measure up. Heather hasn’t been a housewife in five years, and much has changed since she left the show. Tamra, Vicki Gunvalson, Kelly Dodd, and Meghan King Edmonds (who is now dating President Biden’s nephew, Cuffe Biden Owens) were all main cast members, and now none of them are on the series. It seems that Meghan was the only castmate who left of her own accord because she was raising a newborn baby.

Sometimes casting decisions can be a matter of money. When cast members become as famous as Tamra and Vicki, they often ask for a higher salary, which is more than fair. Producers are only thinking about the bottom line, and sometimes they choose to ax the star who is putting more of a drain on the budget. Vicki’s reported salary in 2009 was half a million dollars. Tamra reportedly earned $900,000 for season 14. In the language of Bravo, ‘new blood’ means less expensive, which is why the channel will be introducing new housewives in the next year. If the ratings of The Real Housewives Of Orange County don’t return to the numbers they boasted before the pandemic, Bravo won’t be able to afford the show’s biggest stars.
