Robb Stark’s reign was brief and unsuccessful. The King in the North never ruled from Winterfell, as his ancestral seat was captured by Theon Greyjoy before being given to the Boltons. Jon finally re-takes the Starks’ family home in Season 6 when he defeats Ramsay in the Battle of the Bastards.

Jon, with the help of Sansa Stark and the Knights of the Vale, defeats the Boltons in battle. Sansa kills Ramsay by feeding the sadistic killer to his hounds. Jon is crowned king by the Northerners as the Stark flag finally flies once more from the walls of Winterfell.
