Mena Massoud has shared first look images and a release date for his upcoming Netflix romance The Royal Treatment. The film follows Isabella (Laura Marano), a stylist who’s tasked with doing the hair for Prince Thomas’ (Massoud) royal wedding. As the unlikely pair spends time together, the Prince discovers that he might not want to marry for duty after all.

Massoud has taken to Twitter to share the first photos from the set of The Royal Treatment. “Excited to share the first look at The Royal Treatment,” the actor writes. The images showcase Thomas in his princely duds, including a couple of flashy suits. One photo shows Prince Thomas and Isabella in front of a luxe limo. The actor also adds that The Royal Treatment will be available on Netflix on January 20, 2022. Check out the first look images below:

Royal Treatment Images First Look At Aladdin Star As A Different Prince

The Royal Treatment marks Massoud’s second turn as a Prince. The actor also starred in Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake in 2019. Massoud is set to return as the lovable street urchin in the upcoming Aladdin sequel, with Guy Richie returning to direct. Laura Marano is returning to Netflix after starring in 2019’s The Perfect Date alongside Noah Centineo. Other credits include The War with Grandpa and the Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally.

Per the official synopsis, The Royal Treatment “follows Isabella and Prince Thomas. Isabella runs her own salon and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, while Prince Thomas runs his own country and is about to marry for duty rather than love. When Izzy and her fellow stylists get the opportunity of a lifetime to do the hair for the royal wedding, she and Prince Thomas learn that taking control of their own destiny requires following their hearts.”
