SheHulk Reveals New Look at ComicsAccurate Abomination

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law just gave fans a new look at the Disney+ series’ comics-accurate depiction of Abomination.

The CG model used to bring the iconic Hulk villain to life is briefly showcased in the hotly-anticipated Marvel Studios show’s first trailer. It appears virtually identical to the design used for Abomination’s brief cameo in 2021’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, rather than the version developed for the supervillain’s Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in The Incredible Hulk. Abomination’s first live-action on-screen appearance looked markedly different from Marvel artist Gil Kane’s original design, unlike the version in Shang-Chi and She-Hulk, which recreates the character more faithfully.

The first full trailer for She-Hulk dropped on May 17 and provided fans their first proper glimpse of Tatiana Maslany as the show’s titular protagonist, alongside her alter-ego, Jennifer Walters. It also included several scenes between She-Hulk and her cousin, Bruce Banner/The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), as well as a brief appearance by Abomination’s human identity, Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth).

Aside from Abomination, the She-Hulk trailer featured another villain set to plague the hero over the course of the show’s nine-episode run: Jameela Jamil’s Titania. Marvel Studios had previously kept Jamil’s costume under wraps since the English actor was cast in 2021. Based on the released footage, Titania’s outfit includes a skintight black jumpsuit with white fringe trim, frilly brown boots and a black robe with a red-and-gold lining. She also sports flowing, reddish-brown tresses and a big gold necklace.

The She-Hulk trailer also appears to mark the MCU arrival of C-List hero Frog-Man. Marvel Studios has yet to officially confirm that shots of a green-clad character are of Eugene Patilio/Frog-Man, however, several details such as the costume’s mouth-shaped eyehole and eye-like helmet lights point to this being the case. The actor behind Frog-Man in She-Hulk is not currently known, nor is it clear what role the relatively obscure superhero will play in the show’s plot.

By contrast, there’s less doubt surrounding ex-WWE star David Otunga’s part in She-Hulk. The new trailer includes Otunga as one of several potential suitors who appear during a segment spotlighting Jennifer Walters’ dating life. In the montage, the former professional wrestler turned actor and lawyer is seen trying to impress Walters by flexing his biceps. Marvel Studios has yet to reveal the name of Otunga’s character or confirm how many episodes he stars in.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law arrives on Disney+ on Aug. 17.
