It is safe to say that Christine Brown of Sister Wives was extremely thankful this Thanksgiving for her newfound single life. The former third wife of Kody Brown walked away from their 25-year marriage just one month ago. The mother of six is now living her best life, alone, back in Utah.

49-year-old Christine surprised fans last month after she shared on social media that she’d be leaving Kody. TLC fans had been wondering whether or not Christine was going to leave the family for quite some time now, as they knew she appeared to be unhappy with her situation. Kody’s grand idea to move to Arizona after settling in Sin City backfired, particularly since each wife lived miles apart. Slowly but surely, Christine started to drop hints about leaving. After the Sister Wives season 16 premiere episode, viewers knew that she wouldn’t be breaking ground at Coyote Pass.

Christine looked happier than ever as she shared a few snaps of herself and her family on turkey day on Instagram. While wearing matching pajamas with her mother and daughter, Truely, three generations were caught laughing and enjoying their time together. Fans flocked to the comments to support Christine. Most commenters under the post agreed that they felt she looked better than ever. In the second set of photos, Christine shared how the family’s game night was going. Christine insisted that she was tired of losing the Harry Potter Clue game. Overall, Sister Wives fans think that she is winning at life. The snap showed Truely taking on Christine and grandmother in a round of intense gameplay. Check out the post below.

Christine also shared a few cute photos of her own granddaughter, Avalon. Kody and Christine’s daughter Mykelti spent Thanksgiving with her mother in a show of solidarity. Together, the formerly married partners share Paedon, Aspyn, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, and Truely. As fans will recall, Kody and Christine tied the knot in a spiritual union back in 1994. Christine once revealed in an earlier season that she always thought she would have been the last wife, and it became obvious to viewers that the dynamic changed when Kody married Robyn in 2010.

So far, Sister Wives season 16 has shown a family that is extremely at odds over how to cope and live with the COVID-19 pandemic. While Janelle is happy to let her children run wild and have a social life, Kody and Robyn aren’t willing to risk their health. During the tug and war of social distancing, Christine became more and more unhappy with her life and finally chose to move once and for all. She knew in her gut that was where she wanted to go, even when every other sister-wife had no desire to move back to Utah. At least now, Christine no longer feels trapped and can celebrate her first independent Thanksgiving.
