Spider-Man has fought every type of villain imaginable, but there are some who aren’t great fighters, while others are almost impossible to beat.

Spider-Man began his career as a teenager. Formerly bullied by other students, he gained super strength and agility and began to fight and beat supervillains to protect his town. As someone never trained to fight, he had to learn how to outmatch common street thugs and bad guys who used brawn over brains.
However, through his years as a superhero, Spider-Man ended up facing stronger and stronger villains, and many of these had fighting abilities that pushed the Wall-Crawler to the limit. When fighting these characters, he needed all his powers and his Spider-Sense to come out on top, beating skilled foes with a sense of determination and powerful will.
10 Scorpion
The Scorpion is Mac Gargan, a man who agreed to undergo an experimental procedure that ended up giving the abilities of a scorpion, while also altering his genetics and turning him into a crazed monster. Much like Spider-Man, the scorpion powers gave him superhuman reflexes, agility, durability, stamina, speed, and strength. While he had little to no training before becoming the Scorpion, he has become a formidable opponent since mastering his powers.
9 Doctor Octopus
Doctor Octopus didn’t use to be a great fighter. He was a scientist who was out of shape and had likely never been in a fair fight in his life. And when he first began fighting Spider-Man, Doc Ock still wasn’t great in combat, using his arms to lash out and attack while trying to escape. However, years passed, and as Doctor Octopus relied on his tentacles more, he soon realized what they could do. Thanks to the years of using them, Doctor Octopus became an accomplished fighter, knowing how to weaponize these tools to their best abilities.
8 Green Goblin
Green Goblin is similar to Doctor Octopus. However, instead of being a scientist who gained weapons to use as a supervillain, he was an industrialist business person who ended up infected with a serum that caused him to suffer a mental break while simultaneously gaining superstrength and durability as well. Though Green Goblin suffered a mental break, the serum increased his genius-level intellect, and this allowed him to master martial arts, which he uses to great effect.
7 Tombstone
Lonnie Lincoln has been a fighter since his teenage years, making him more experienced than people like Doctor Octopus and Norman Osborn, who only learned how to fight after gaining their powers. He was a bully in school and has been a killer since he was a teenager.
As a supervillain, he is extremely strong – being able to lift about six tons – and he has superhuman stamina and durability, allowing him to go the distance in a fight. He is a master of hand-to-hand combat and the use of firearms.
6 Sandman
Sandman has been a powerful fighter since he was just a street-level criminal named Flint Marko. However, once he gained the ability to turn his body into sand and harden it when needed, he has become an almost unbeatable fighter. He can use his sand powers to make himself much stronger than someone like Tombstone. With the mastery of his powers, he is a good enough fighter to even challenge Marvel’s strongest heroes like The Thing and Hulk, and when this Spider-Man villain sought redemption, he fought and beat several antagonists as well.
5 Carnage
Symbiotes have advantages over almost all fighters because of their instinctive abilities in a battle. Carnage is a step below Venom, but more dangerous than most other symbiote heroes or villains on Earth. Carnage is more powerful than Venom, but as a fighter, he is too unpredictable and makes too many mistakes. While Venom usually needs help defeating Carnage, it isn’t because of their fighting skills but because of Carnage’s immense power levels.
4 Venom
Venom is not as strong as Carnage, but he is more disciplined. Whether it is Eddie Brock or Flash Thompson behind the symbiote, Venom is a great fighter and someone who often gives Spider-Man problems. The symbiote is one of the most disciplined to exist on Earth and its loyalty to Brock and Thompson makes the two perfect together.
Flash Thompson’s Agent Venom is an even better fighter. He is a trained military man, and when he took on the Venom symbiote, he used it to form weapons that made him even stronger. He is also a tactical genius, making him better in any fight than someone like Carnage.
3 Kingpin
Wilson Fisk had a similar background to Tombstone, developing his fighting skills as a young man before moving up to become the Kingpin of Crime. He began bodybuilding as a young child and turned his enormous frame into powerful muscle. His body is almost 100% pure muscle, making him almost unbeatable in a fight. Fisk is also a master martial artist in judo and hapkido, and he has mastered sumo wrestling as well. His strength makes him a better fighter than a normal martial arts expert like Norman Osborn.
2 Kraven The Hunter
Kraven is a master hunter, and he is not a coward. He is a man who conquered every animal known to man, and that was why he tested his skills against Spider-Man. Through the years, Kraven the Hunter morphed his body into the ultimate weapon, and in a fair fight against someone with no superpowers, he should always be the favorite to win. Furthermore, Kraven has able to beat Spider-Man himself in a one-on-one fight. His expertise with knives and other weapons helps assist him in any combat.
1 Morlun
Morlun is an immortal hunter of all animals, targeting the heroes and villains in worlds that are connected to these animals. He has killed several people in the multiverse with spider powers and has also targeted Black Panther. He has superhuman strength and durability and can absorb the life essence of others.
While his fight training is unknown, he has proven to overpower anyone he fights and normally doesn’t even break a sweat beating someone in a scuffle, even when facing a superpowered individual. His own superpowers added to his almost unbeatable fighting skills, making him the best fighter of all Spider-Man villains.
